BREAKING: 3 Cops shot in Jersey Police Station outside of Philly

If I read the article correctly, the man wasn't brought in with a gun. He took one away from the police.

I guess if the police hadn't had guns, nothing would have happened.

This warrants pause as well. One event that hasn't been discussed is major sporting events - amassing numerous people in one enclosed area with limited access and egress (coming college/ professional bowls?)

Cooper Hospital is one of the very best hospitals in the area...top notch with top docs! Too bad it's in the city of Camden. I commented earlier that I'm afraid to drive through Camden. I do cross the bridge (next to Camden) into Philly and use the university doctors/hosptitals there when needed.

Yeah Camden is pretty rough. Fortunately though, the Philly area in general has some of the best hospitals around.

Just watching NBC 10 news, Philadelphia, and as the article says...he was brought in for a domestic violence incident at 0530 hrs today.

How did this guy think he could get away with grabbing a gun at a police station? It will be interesting to see if he has a prior criminal record.

I agree with Monk Meat, and I'm an RN. I'm really curious why you say that Cooper Hospital and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) and the Philadelphia Hospitals aren't rated as some of the best in the nation.

If there was a trained and armed teacher in that police station, this never would've happened.

Watching the explanation of the incident on a Philadelphia TV news station. Eddie Jones, 39 years old, of Willingboro, NJ was stalking his girlfriend. When officers arrived, he told the officers that he was in law inforcement. Turned out that he worked for the department of corrections and was handcuffed.

Inside the township police headquarters, his handcuffs were removed by a female officer, and he immediately tackled the female officer, Ms Burns, to the floor. It was then that he grabbed her gun and started shooting. They said this all happened within seconds.
