Why do people hate?

You must love and understand a person before you can hate them.
Hate is part of the Human psyche,It is part of the Ying and Yang of humanity..

Maybe it's because, deep down, you hurt over the ugliness you see and feel unable to change any of it. I know I feel like that sometimes.

Sometimes I can also "hate" or "dislike" because people are too similar to me, or have issues like mine. It's not the person I "hate" or "dislike", but the issues. It's just channelled out wrong, if you know what I mean.

I have found that complete honesty towards myself, helps me see clearer. Also accepting my own weak sides helps me become more relaxed about myself and others.

Could be pride...
When a person is prideful they hate anyone who has more than they do, whether it be money, looks, power, prestige, education......etc
Then you get jealous, and then hateful.

If someone hates me, I can't do anything about that....if I hate someone I could do something about that.

I do the "I don't care" or "that's not important" attitude.
And I supplemented that with acts of charity of MY choosing, whether it be help at church, donating my junk to salvation army, whatever.

I don't hate. I have anger for stupid lazy people because I expect more out of them.

There is a big difference between hatred and anger. If you are a conscious person then you understand that there is a reason for everything. This is when blind hatred goes away forever and is replaced by anger, frustration, and Cynacism.

We usually hate what we fear or don't understand....understanding yourself is the beginning of wisdom.... :)

It takes time. Do not doubt you capability of getting rid of it. The fact that you are trying and feel such a strong urge to get rid of it should be proof enough that you will succeed one day. I am not sure if you can delete the emotion from your mind completely, but there are ways to manage it or transform it into something else. Most effective is to distract yourself, think less and you will encaunter it less. It is the art Self. You have to work hard, it takes a lot of time, but you will create something beautiful if you keep at it. Like any art it is inexhaustible and you will always have more to do, and never reach and end point. But the key is to fall in love with the 'doing' part not the 'result'.

I have found that occupying my mind, time with arts and hobbies just doesn't leave space for all of these negative emotions.

hate is a "repel mechanism" and jsut label" (word) the emotion is just "get away" - the hate might be described as the manifestation of actions which represent the thoughts of the individual - acting out the negative, repel thoughts is speaking out "words of hate" - the act of hating - usually speaking, insulting. if a person hating, inside, and no one knew it then hate is not applied, "hate" is an external label applied to people from other people.

a person might be negative inside and be perceived as being hateful by others.

why is it important for you, to accept their hatred into your life? - why cannot you simply repel the energy? - why do you seek to "control those which are not you" for your benefit?

My humble opinion would be self.

It is not the power another has in any regard, yet the power we tend to lend this person or thing. We do this from within.

This love so many brag about, write about, yet apparently none truly know or experience. We equate it to longing, to lust, to greed, envy and so many sins.

All sins because they remove free will and have a person react instead of respond to any situation, in reacting they remove self will, their true desire and wishes and become actors on a stage.

Love is pain, it is the most horrific pain known to a mortal, love does indeed hurt. So may say I love this or I love that, yet they go away and come back to experience this thing all over again and again.

True love is the pain and despair found within loss and abandon, the loss and never knowing this thing, this feeling, this fondness if you will shall never return in any form again as you came to know it.

My thread was killed when I started it. LOL! I really do enjoy loving people, but people have really let me down. I'm trying to learn how to love people with their faults. I have my own, do not get me wrong. I am not perfect.

I have just as much love as hate. I want to remove the hate, but as soon as I think I can, someone else comes along and proves, I can't. It is sad.

for me what causes the ultimate feeling/emotion of hate is because when you find out someone lied or used you for their own personal gain, it really shatters your entire perception.

forgiveness is easier said than done. hate can be useful, it is just a wall that keeps the repeat offenders out of one's life. after you've put up with enough BS, you just learn to hate and move on. Its easy. Love takes work... that is the real challenge when you love, love is an action and the rewards of it make it all worth it. Hating is the easy way out and sometimes the best way for self preservation.

yes, forgiveness is not easy. I have forgiven, but I guess not enough.

The key is to find a conceptualization or perspective that enables you to transmute that hatred into forgiveness/acceptance.
