better yet ban the use of nuclear power altogether, not just the bombs and the depleted uranium bullets but also the power plants. Fukushima and Chernobyl prove that people cannot be trusted to use anything nuclear.

Unfortunately, gun owners are in fact, not cowards. Things would be much easier if they were.

What is fortunate, however, is that (in this case) they are Americans. This means that they are too heavily invested in a system to provide them creature comforts that only a very few would be willing to give up for a simple firearm.

Americans would never give up what they consider necessities. In most of the world, these are considered luxuries. Clean running water, reliable sanitation, reliable electricity, an automobile, a large living space, heating in the winter, cooling in the summer, over the road transportation, fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, large amounts of fresh meats, television, and cable.

For these reasons, and many more, the American gun owner would never "go gorilla". Americans as a whole are unfit to live in trenches and eating a minimum survival amount while fighting. At the same time, their families provide convenient pressure points which would nullify even the most hardened.

Gun owners are not cowards, but it could also be said that they will not become heroes or martyrs.

This is all but guaranteed.
