Quoting: Anonymous Coward 470605 Big labels continue to feed the masses terrible over hyped handsome kids that can barely play or write a song. :) The big companies have to focus on those who are most likely to actually purchase product. Two of those groups being country fans and little girls whose parents are paying. |

Quoting: Jervis and V-Honey Sony/BMG's was hit the hardest with views dropping from a total of more than 850 million to just 2.3 million. RCA declined by 159 million views to a total of 120 million. Universal lost more than 1 billion views and now stands below 6 billion. Often, they have angles which most of us overlook. There's a whole industry built around manipulating people on FB/Twitter et al. Please provide a few different links which reference what you claim. Thank you in advance. Anonymous Coward User ID: 30809601 Malaysia 12/28/2012 07:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No shit. A little faith has been restored knowing that there aren't 900,000,000 people listening to Justin F'king Beiber. So, the thing with internet money is it's fucking worthless, but if you're a manager for a piece of shit act and have staked you're rep on it, what better way to get absurd booking fees than to speak to some technophobe booking agent and say 'look, 900 million views, this will sell out in no time' Quoting: NSF001 Bet whoever owns PSY used this trick too. I have Korean friends. They were talking about it (in English) and they told me he was chosen. Amazing that. They also discussed how many K-Pop 'stars' are chosen and that the songs are chosen too. According to them the remarkable thing is how cheap and tinny the music is and were very surprised that the world had bought into the crap that is chosen for them to watch and listen to. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30899323 The whole entertainment industry should be burning down! the music industry has been [burning] since about 2003, really since the early 90's, but that is a much more complicated topic than just the filesharing issue. |

wut User ID: 30125924 Norway 01/16/2013 03:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hahaha, everything is fake these days... girls wear ton of makeup, takes botox, surgery, fake tans, among men; metrosexuality has been on the rise for years. Brainswashing children through entertainment to act and live in a dumbed down way - non yielding, over consuming and destructive. This is not sustainable, and 'they' know it. Buying fake views is just the tip of the ice-berg for what these criminals are capable of doing in order to lure kids, and even adults, into thinking this or that gives social status and approval. It's about time we shed lights on ALL THEIR DIRTY SECRETS, way to go YouTube! What happend to Operation Mayhem?? "Kill SOPA and protect Viral Communication. All that is necessary for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing. Your silence could very well be the death blow to the viral exchange of ideas. Do something, say something, tweet it, write your senators and congress, call them, fax them Freedom of Speech needs YOU" |
AvgJoe User ID: 47246670 Dominican Republic 09/22/2013 04:41 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Now that I read this thread, I see that. It's interesting that YouTube is cracking down on 'hits', as it where, because YouTube AFAIK is owned by a corporation called NewsCorp. But don't look a gift horse in the mouth, they say. The music industry demands perfect honesty from its listeners. If a listener downloads one song from the internet w/out paying for it, the industry takes them to court. I read that a typical fine is $3000.00 USD for each song. [link to music.yahoo.com] [link to www.theguardian.com] Try googling this-> caught downloading fine ...But for some reason, they are/were allow(ed) themselves to be dishonest with the public. No problem. What? It's just PR. F'n Hypocrites!!!! |
