They are fucking people over
After another 30 minute wait: "If you are in delayed status you cannot check status" and they hung up right away.
I've spoken to two other dealers in the area... Yes, same story for anyone who has to check through NICS.

Everyone's stuck with private sale on backpage I guess.....

Yeah, I saw this happen yesterday at a shop when they went to call in and all they got was a recording.

They are moving to stem the massive gun sales going on.

Actually I bought a gun yesterday and it didn't take very long at all.. Maybe ten minutes and I'm out the door.

probably just overwhelmed.

Lets hope that's all that is happening to the system. I shudder to think if it is being done on purpose.

You have had many posts about how every gun in every store is being sold as soon as it comes in...

I have read increases of 100-1000% in sales across the board for handguns/rifles/shotguns...

Clearly, the background check system is being badly overloaded, as are the support personal.

seems perfectlyt understandable to me...

Of course, this is using logic and not conspiracies.

The only thing left withiin a 200 mile radius of me is .22LR rifles and a few shotguns, everything else is literally gone.

The lines are still out the door at all the shops as people go to pickup what they bought a week ago, but as for any guns inside these stores, there are none, they are simply gone.

I still can't believe how blase people are being about this at the moment, most people have no fucking clue what is about to go down, what is being organized, and what will come to a head once this legislation is filed.

Their are 50M plus gun owners in the country, and only a minute fraction need to step up and the Feds have a huge problem.

Fortunately, the figures I'm hearing are close to 10% so we are talking literally millions that are fully prepared to descent upon DC.

You just fucking watch.

My local gun shop had a waiting line out the door and into the parking lot last weekend. The place was packed. Another good gun dealer near where I work was also absolutely packed before Christmas. Never seen that many people at my local gun shops.

Imma head south of M'Boro and check out what's available and what's not.

And..... Now their finally proceeding people and calling back on delays.

Last time I was at Outpost Armory they were slammed. About a week ago they actually closed 2 hours early because they had more business than they could handle and would be waiting past closing time on the background checks for what they already had in the pipeline to clear. One of the employees said they could keep the AR's in the shelf they were flying out so fast.

gun sales have really not slowed down much here in No. Calif. for a few years, same w/ ammo. People here have been prepping for a long time. Long live our 2nd amendment rights!

Worked fine for me immediate yesterday. I need to grab some ammo before they make that impossible to get.

Just called my local gun shop. They said they are having some delay. "some" prob means a long delay.

thats NORMAL first gun i bought(shotgun) was quick, 2nd gun(handgun) i bought took 2 days. and when i bought my 3rd gun(dpms ar15) it took like 10 mins, be patient this is the biggest gun buying spree/panic in history relax
