Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30899241 What exactly do you think a 12 v car battery will do connected to a door handle? Do you think that only one person will show up to take your precious? |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 8397139 12/28/2012 02:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The 'bury your stash' fantasy is just that, a fantasy. Quoting: Barry Cash 1310640 The metal detection technology is so good, and Uncle can afford the best toys and people to search for your precious and other metal treasure. You may be unaware that they can with the right tools detect anything you bury that's metal and can selectively search and detect precious metal concentrations to depths deeper than you can dig. The 'bury now, come back later' fantasy wont work, they can scan your land in minutes for distrubed soil, and even survey your property from space. If they think you have something, they have the time, people and money to search every square inch for metals and voids in the ground to depths of dozens of feet Sorry to have to tell you this, but burying your stuff simply means youre wasting your time and wasting opportunities. I dont have any answers, and am unaware of any way of shielding metals and voids in the earth or water from detectors. Just so you dont get your hopes up about prevailing by passive resistance. Even if they dont know where to look, they know if they put you somewhere and control your movements by some means, whatever is cached will stay cached until found by someone else by accident. I agree, they already know who most of the gun owners are. Even if you turn everything in, you'll still be considered a threat and treated accordingly. On that terrible day of confiscation, should it arrive, anyone on their 'list' will be in a world of shit. Even if you've followed all the laws enacted. Time to wise up, put on our big boy boxers, and realize that we cannot weasel out. |

The Gov't can't watch 320 million people all at once, nor does it have the resources to scan every inch of the US. You watch to much propaganda on TV. There are many "treasures"(lost safes, buried loot from stage robberies, etc) lost in the old West that are still not discovered. Even most drug farms, are accidentally stumbled upon, not located by superior Government Technology. |

Lastly if you're on a FEMA bus...it's too late...you lose. 99% of people bury their precious where they can see if it's being disturbed, or where they can count on their friends and family noticing if someones snooping around. Pretty much nobody buries anything of value where others can stumble across it. The meteorite men search for metal by pulling their detector array with an ATV, and they find things pretty deep and it's just the two of them. Most of you already list your friends and family on tattlebook or similar. How you can tell that nobody was watching while you buriesd your precious is a leap of faith, I can tell if someone moved by boat by using google maps. |
