When I was 11 my friend and I stumbled upon a discarded tampon in the street and thought it was a fire-cracker.   When my sibs and I were young my sister's date was waiting for her in the living room and my little brother came out of the bathroom with a cardboard tampon inserter from the trash and said to him "Hey look! A telescope!"
