HOW TO STOP DRONES [THEY ARE COMING] | |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 29941383 12/28/2012 09:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Send up a drone of your own. It needs to be a flying robot capable of ripping off the control surfaces of the govt drone (ailerons, etc.). Then install some of your own, along with a control circuit. You basically hijack their drone and send it right back. Not easy to do. |

If you can't talk to the drone in the green, I don't see a way to control it electronically. Makes you wonder how Iran got one of the big ones several months ago. Their propoganda photos looked like the large drone was quite intact. What really concerns me is why we were truly forced off analog for TV signals. That seems a thought to ponder. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30721611 if the government turns and uses drones on its people, how will we disable them? Use the glossy reflective cover of your New Jerusalem Calendar to redirect incoming solar rays to jam the optical tracking device of the drone's navigational system! Iran claimed to Hack the Signal and land it. It is used for surveilance! Most drones that our US Military have are like this. Drones capable of delivering Hellfire missles are a lot less common. |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 30819551 12/31/2012 10:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Destroying drones isn't to hard, they operate on different bands of radio frequency. All you need is to make a amplifier circuit that works on the same range with a handheld directional antenna (think satellite dish) The only problem is if the drones are up to high of an altitude where interference signals from the ground will be surpassed by the signals from their satellites. I'm sure they also have failsafe features if the signal gets jammed they could have an autopilot landing feature that doesn't require an outside source to control it. Think airplanes that auto land for pilots these days. ONe possibility would to scramble a wide range of signals including GPS, control frequency and anything else that could possibly aid the drone to "see" in a sense. <<7 Year career Electrically engineer |
