I think people are starting to figure things out, problem is they are looking for you. They want to make you rich. Here's 50k to prove to me you need to sign our top secret nondisclosure form. You are now a threat to the nation security. If you figure it out, don't get greedy and don't tell anyone you can't trust. this is all speculation

But all modern alternators have built in rectifiers (diodes).

Regardless, you still can't series them.

you don't need to. Years ago there was a long time advert on a switch box and some wires and after you installed it you could run your engine up to about 2000 rpm and power your skil saw or drill too far away from the house to run an extension cord.
I think if you tried this today you would have to replace the diodes and you would have to go inside the alternator for some of your wiring because voltage regulators are inside the alternator now.

Are you sure this isn't just an inverter?

You would have to completely rewire an alternator from a car to output 60hz and even then you would have to keep the rpm steady to not burn out any 110+ AC motors attached.
 Quoting: IRQ_1

no, the switch disconnected the alternator from the car and applied full field voltage. Drills and saws worked fine. The diodes have to withstand the voltage and modern ones are so precisely manufactured there isn't the needed overage since they are so much more consistent. Modern alternator diodes fail around 60 volts.

drills and skil saws are series wound motors. They run on dc as well which the alternator output is.
