what about just getting 7 altenators spinning at the same time. That adds up to almost 110 DC. You could just switch to DC lighting. Strip a car out. One alternator runs the radio, lights, heater blowerbox, and all the other stuff in a running car. Don't go AC, go DC. Might be cheaper than you think.

Alternators are AC. Ya know, they 'alternate'. You can't series AC current.

The lack of basic electric knowledge in here is amusing.

But all modern alternators have built in rectifiers (diodes).

Regardless, you still can't series them.

you don't need to. Years ago there was a long time advert on a switch box and some wires and after you installed it you could run your engine up to about 2000 rpm and power your skil saw or drill too far away from the house to run an extension cord.
I think if you tried this today you would have to replace the diodes and you would have to go inside the alternator for some of your wiring because voltage regulators are inside the alternator now.
