A couple of thoughts OP
1. Is the hatch water proof and do you have a water pump if you get flooded?
Because if you had a burst water pipe in the main house you could have big trouble.
2. Do you have some fire extinguishers?
What is your fire plan?
3. Do you have an alternative exit?
What if the trap door in the closet was blocked?
4. Do you have the air exit away from the house and filter the exhaust air, what if someone comes along and can smell cooking?
5. Will your generators survive emp?
I think anything underground like that should survive emp anyway? Worth finding out?
