Fantastic article that explains how the U.S. was able to be deindustrialized so rapidly

I've never seen this article posted or referenced on this site, so I thought I'd post a link to it. It's by Hugo Salinas Price, a Mexican billionaire who's trying to get silver reintroduced as money in Mexico. I don't think he understands what he's up against in that regard, but this article is an absolute must read for anyone who wants to understand how the U.S. could have been deindustrialized so rapidly and how production of just about everything was shifted to other countries during that time frame. It isn't a very long article, but I found it revelatory.
