One day people will realize that the whole concept of money is a manipulative illusion
The entire value of anything is based on people's perception of another's perception of what they (or we) are told. Value is based on how one needs certain things. Yet money is paper! It doesn't have to be the source. Its in our heads.

I want to focus on the US dollar right now. We have people in the US that tell us the dollar is worth a certain amount. But in other countries, they look at the dollar as being worth less (maybe more). Here in the US, someone can put a value on it and if people agree, they pay it. If they disagree, then less money is used to get it. "They" is the majority.

The question is who is really in control of the value? Is it the government or is it us. What happened when Enron, a multibillion dollar company, made a huge error. In just one day, they were worth nothing. Same with Arthur Anderson.

Most recently, Twinkie. The dollar is a very interesting concept, because one day, it may not even be worth anything but a piece of paper to use as fire or in the bathroom.

My point is, we are in a world where we have been given the ability to create value out of anything. For some reason, we decided to use paper. We have changed the paper and the design many times, but what is it really doing? As we print more, are we really losing the value of a perceived piece of paper? When we work or if we are a business owner, we use dollars to make people do things.

This concept is so crazy to think about because in any given moment, the dollar can be worth nothing. All of a sudden, a rock or a gallon of milk or sugar or whatever can turn into what we use a monetary system. It is all based on our perception at the time, yet it controls us.

Money makes us do things because we use it for anything. There are many people who have ton of it and many who have none of it. Those that have millions of it may never even get to use it or waste it. It just disappears one day. How have we allowed ourselves to place this much value on something? Do you realize what it is doing to us? We are slaves to our own perception!

But guess what - this should give anyone that doesn't have any of it hope. Because with perception and work, you can make a lot of it being that it is all in our minds anyway. In our minds, we are the ones that create the value. We are the ones that can control what it is valued and what we want to use it for.

But one day, the paper will be worth nothing. The neighbor that has no money may have a well on their property and everyone needs water. Then they become the richest person around the block. Or maybe the farmer who has tons of chickens and cows becomes the richest person because they can use that to buy their clothes or homes or gas or whatever.

Everything in this world is manipulated by our thoughts. Don't let it control you. You control it. Sorry for the rant. I may have more thoughts later.

Oh wow - that is so true! This model though is showing that you don't have to do much to get it. This model is actually bad because there is no "motivation" to go out and "work" to "earn" it.

This hasn't been good in the short term and it is not looking to be good in the long run. Yet, so many people perceive that it is the right thing to do and they are losing more by thinking that.

The only power we have in creating value is in our heads. But if we are taught not to use our heads, then what will happen to us?

No doubt. Money has limited mankind more than anything else. well maybe not religion. But its a close second. Right now weve reached a point where its completely holding us back but about to burst. Its not something people will "have to see." Its something thats gonna happen. Money will die in its natural course.

Re: One day people will realize that the whole concept of money is a manipulative illusion
Wow - just read something that put it into perspective of how it could happen. Check it out:

U.S. Economy Grinds To Halt As Nation Realizes Money Just A Symbolic, Mutually Shared Illusion

WASHINGTON—The U.S. economy ceased to function this week after unexpected existential remarks by Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke shocked Americans into realizing that money is, in fact, just a meaningless and intangible social construct.

What began as a routine report before the Senate Finance Committee Tuesday ended with Bernanke passionately disavowing the entire concept of currency, and negating in an instant the very foundation of the world's largest economy.

"Though raising interest rates is unlikely at the moment, the Fed will of course act appropriately if we…if we…" said Bernanke, who then paused for a moment, looked down at his prepared statement, and shook his head in utter disbelief. "You know what? It doesn't matter. None of this—this so-called 'money'—really matters at all."

"It's just an illusion," a wide-eyed Bernanke added as he removed bills from his wallet and slowly spread them out before him. "Just look at it: Meaningless pieces of paper with numbers printed on them. Worthless."

According to witnesses, Finance Committee members sat in thunderstruck silence for several moments until Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT) finally shouted out, "Oh my God, he's right. It's all a mirage. All of it—the money, our whole economy—it's all a lie!"

Screams then filled the Senate Chamber as lawmakers and members of the press ran for the exits, leaving in their wake aisles littered with the remains of torn currency.

U.S. markets closed as traders left their jobs and resolved for once to do or make something, anything of real value.

As news of the nation's collectively held delusion spread, the economy ground a halt, with dumbfounded citizens everywhere walking out on their jobs as they contemplated the little green drawings of buildings and dead white men they once used to measure their adequacy and importance as human beings.

At the New York Stock Exchange, Wednesday morning's opening bell echoed across a silent floor as the few traders who arrived for work out of habit looked up blankly at the meaningless scrolling numbers on the flashing screens above.

"I've spent 25 years in this room yelling 'Buy, buy! Sell, sell!' and for what?" longtime trader Michael Palermo said. "All I've done is move arbitrary designations of wealth from one column to another, wasting my life chasing this unattainable hallucination of wealth."

"What a cruel cosmic joke," he added. "I'm going home to hug my daughter."

Sources at the White House said President Obama was "still trying to get his head around all this" and was in seclusion with his coin collection, muttering "it's just metal, it's just metal" over and over again.

"The president will be making a statement very soon," press secretary Robert Gibbs told reporters. "At the moment, though, his mind is just too blown to comment."

A few U.S. banks have remained open, though most teller windows are unmanned due to a lack of interest in transactions involving mere scraps of paper or, worse, decimal points and computer data signifying mere scraps of paper. At a Bank of America branch in Spokane, WA, curious former customers wandered aimlessly through a large empty vault, while several would-be robbers of a Chase bank in Columbus, OH reportedly put their guns down and exited the building hand in hand with security guards, laughing over the inherent absurdity of the idea of $100 bills.

Likewise, the real estate industry has all but vanished, with mortgage lenders seeing no reason to stop people from reclaiming their foreclosed-upon homes.

"I don't even know what we were thinking in the first place," said former banker Nathan Collins of Brandon, MS, as he jimmyed open a door to allow a single mother and her five children to move back into their house. "A bunch of people sign a bunch of papers, and now this family has no place to live? That's just plain ludicrous."

The realization that money is nothing more than an elaborate head game seems to have penetrated the entire country: In Wilmington, DE, for instance, a collection agent reportedly broke down in joyful sobs when he informed a woman on the other end of the phone that he had absolutely no reason to harass her anymore, as her Discover Card debt was no longer comprehensible.

For some Americans, the fog of disbelief surrounding the nation's epiphany has begun to lift, with many building new lives free from the illusion of money.

"It's back to basics for me," Bernard Polk of Waverly, OH said. "I'm going to till the soil for my own sustenance and get anything else I need by bartering. If I want milk, I'll pay for it in tomatoes. If need a new hoe, I'll pay for it in lettuce."

When asked, hypothetically, how he would pay for complicated life-saving surgery for a loved one, Polk seemed uncertain.

"That's a lot of vegetables, isn't it?" he said.

Sad thing is they say the next bubble that will burst is student debt. Then after that another home crisis when banks finally bring out true foreclosed numbers. Then the people that have been living in those homes for free will go back to school and get student loans to pay for it....sigh...

I had a question above asking who was in control - whether it was the government or if it was us as people? I just started thinking that the person behind the curtain may be the big banks. Aren't they the ones that control the real distribution of imaginary currency and tell us how much of it is out there?

Since the great depression, somehow, the Federal Reserve was created and has controlled so much. It is so weird to think about that and how much "power" we have given them.

got to admire the yids they are clever, like the guy who
invented greenshield stamps,made a fortune,yid or gentile,
which are you,the fate of the yid hun was sealed when david_dickhead/edgar cayce opened his mouth in the second centenary of
the yid french revolution, what's the difference between god
and yid, god wants us to be free, creates the habitat to be
so,yid doesn't,the wrathschild yids have created a world
where everyone's dependent on money created by them,to get
it we have to work for them,we're supposed to work for god
not yid bloodsucker middlemen,see abundanthope.net/nov8
PJ228 ch3/4,the curse of the world is people who set
theirself up in authority over others, hierarchy of fear,13
million yids control/destroy the world to the detriment of
the rest, time we marginalised them, they have power over us
because we give them our power by working for them, hatonn
says he'll work with us not for us,he won't be our slave,we
need to do the same, must be good fun arresting folk,
handcuffing them, making their wrist hurt, locking them up,
humiliating them in a cell, raiding their premises,
confiscating their property,charging them etc,interesting
our yid government is the biggest perpetrator of crime:
killing people/animals,flooding the country with drugs,
producing toxic food/water/air/pharmaceuticals,
indoctrinating the populace with propaganda instead of truth
etc, god determines the law not yids, see phoenix journal 27,
the nile valley is a fertile plain because it floods once a
year,you don't mess with nature,it's god at work,thanks to
the yid antichrist the planet's irreparable, interesting the
queen is a double, the british empire is the yid empire, they
control banking/the media/governments etc,start all the wars
,pollute/destroy the planet/us,see protocols of the learned
elders of zion,we work for yids for yid money/vouchers to
buy yid goods, all we've got to do is WITHDRAW our manpower,
their corporations including government will collapse, then
we can get on with living instead of slaving, see
ringingcedars.com, everyone selfsufficient,each community
decide its own fate,in accord with the laws of balance, see
phoenix journal 27,we don't need money/sell something to
survive,look at other species,once there was a firmament/
belt of vapour round the earth, like venus now, protecting it
from harsh radiation and maintaining a constant temperature,
resulting in lush vegetation/food everywhere, however it was
ruptured causing the deluge/oceans,fortunately it's being
restored,see abundanthope.net,then we'll have perpetual
spring,the garden of eden/aden,help yourself,everyone self
sufficient
