Activity has been slightly down in recent weeks. Calm before the storm is brewing. Will we get another magnitude 8.0+ earthquake in the next two or three days? Yes I believe it is extremely likely. Will the earthquakes depth and size generate a tsunami? Possibly. It will certainly be big enough but other factors will come into play here. For about a week and a half I too have a constant feeling it'll happen anytime now. Especially after asteroid 2002 AU4 passed earth. BTW, since it passed, quake activity increased, after it was suspiciously quiet for nearly a month. Also, we only had two M8 this year, and both were at the same spot. |

However, there was a 7.5 in Alaska which I'm sure you all heard about. As for a tsunami, I heard there was a big ol' gnarly 6 inch wave that was reported in Port Alexander after the quake. But there was no quake 8.0+ and definitely no threatening tsunami. I'm afraid your predictions were wrong, my friend. No one can predict a quake, not even a scientist.
