No major doom just food prices will keep on rising until the 3rd seal of Revelation is completed when people are working a day for a loaf of bread.
Being in the USA, you will have problems because the destroyer Obama (who the people chose) has an important job to do. But the USA's end will not come until the 4th seal, which happens after the 3rd seal which I just mentioned is ongoing.
