Sorry but in NASA we need the most qualified and not just quotas filled. If blacks would get an education instead of basketball and thuggery, then more would qualify to work for NASA. Look at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, they went the quota over qualification route and look where that got them.

To not only pilot a shuttle into space, but also conduct the science when you are there, requires a very special person. Not to mention handle any emergencies.

Sorry but space travel separates the men from the boys. This is where exceptions simply cannot be made. The best MAN for the job is always a white guy. Full spectrum talent. Blacks don't have the IQ or the big picture understanding of the mission. That's not racist, that's just genetic fact.

Besides, NASA is not the government. It is a corporation owned by whites and they want fellow whites up their representing them. When blacks engineer their own space shuttle in 50 billion years, then they can come join us.
