A person needs an assault rifle with 30 round magazines for the exact same reason the police does.

No, a person isn't a police officer, but there is no denying the simple facts.

If a person breaks into my house, kills me and takes the rest of my family hostage. The police will arrive, and upon seeing the situation they will call in the SWAT unit.

They will arrive, all of them carrying not only semi, but FULLY automatic rifles. They will all have 30 round magazines, and they will have more than one of them.

Why do they use the assault rifle in a residence? The left would argue that these rifles are no good for home defense. They would argue that the round will penetrate walls and take out the neighbors house. Why is that true for me, but not when the police arrives with the same weapon? Of course.... It isn't.

The reson the police use this rifle in the exact same house that the left argues it is useless to be used in.. Is that it is the best tool for the job. If there was a better tool available, they would be using that.

At minimum, should the police attempt to engage the criminal, they will send in 4 officers. That equates to a minimum of 120 rounds of assault rifle ammo. In addition to their pistols that all have more than 10 rounds in the magazines as well. Normally between 13 and 18 depending on model and choice of magazine.

So, the police, will send in a minimum of 6 high capacity magazines, and at least 4 assault rifles

... to fight the SAME criminal, in the SAME house, that the left argues I should be able to take him on with a handgun with only ten bullets.

I'm sorry leftists, but the simple fact is that the argument you make doesn't make any sense. The police proves it by their choice of tools for the job.

I am already at a disadvantage since I'll be alone, and they choose a minimum of 4. So i'll keep the few advantages I have thank you very much.

My hubby picked up his gun yesterday. He said everything there was also wiped out except for some pea shooters. Waiting for a call? Fuck that noise. With my Concealed license, I walk in, fill out 4473, pay and leave. We know how to do it right here in Texas.

I guess it's different from state to state...when I buy a rifle they won't even look at my handgun permit, either way I still walk out with firearm and ammo in hand.
