Babysitter wars: What desperate parents will do to snag a sitter for New Year's Eve
[link to www.today.com]

That first kiss of the New Year isn’t so romantic if you’re stuck at home with a screaming baby. That’s why parents go to incredible lengths to bribe and beg their babysitters — and sometimes strangers off the street — to watch their kids.

If I had children, I'd want to spend this moment with THEM.... this is exactly why my girlfriend and I decided long ago we do NOT want to have kids.... they require ALL of your attention, a LOT of money, and we are WAY to selfish to waste time on that b.s. Say goodbye to your boat, vacations, smoking, drinking, nights out on the town, have a kid, your life is over.

At least it SHOULD be, you SHOULD spend every moment with your child, every moment you can, and any money spent on b.s. can be no more, every cent must be saved for the child. Bad Parents.
Why is it called "Common Sense" when it isn't that common?
I like to think I have that "Rare Sense"
Yea, that's the ticket.

I would rather spend an evening babysitting than go out these days. Sad, eh?

I agree people are getting weirder every day, at least when kids are weird it's normal. ura

When our kids were young we didn't go out for New Year's.
