No ammo.....? | |
BRIEF User ID: 31033836 United States 12/29/2012 11:40 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sorry if I am overstepping here...just wanted to throw up a link, I am absolutely not affiliated. They do have ammo still at decent prices and shipping. Just tryin to help. Quoting: Mandi/K [link to palmettostatearmory.com] They are out of stock on almost everything.... And just like everybody else they want 1.00 per round for 5.56. Cheaper than dirt wants 1.25 per round. If you are trying to buy ammo and guns now you are doing it wrong. If you are trying to buy powder and primers now you are doing it wrong as well. I feel bad for those spending 800% more for things...rifles and ammo, but damn. Nobody wants things when they are cheap. If the ban never goes through, people holding 2500.00 DPMS rifles that were worth 650.00 a week before are going to feel stupid. And paying 1 dollar per round of 5.56 is insane. Yeah, and I bought when everything was cheap, but with the dollar becoming worthless soon, it's better to buy what you can at any price and hang on to it... Your last comment here speaks volumes!! Been trying to tell folks this for years now. Buy and hold, you'll eventually use it if you don't need it as a prep. Stock what you use or can guarantee barter with. I can make the same argument with real estate too...yeah my houses are worth less than some years ago, but your home, paid for, is priceless in this shitty economy. Your car is also not an investment, normally, but if it's in good condition and paid for it's worth a ton more in usage than in resale value. I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked. |

The all-mighty dollar. I love the outdoor range I go to. You're free to pick up your brass and if you've a mind to, your neighbor's brass. No more range for me though. Not until I can buy ammo again. Great thread by the way. All you lurkers out there please put in your two cents. Middle Tennessee: lots of places sold out. What's not sold out has gone up in price. Haven't seen any bulk .223/5.56, just the high-end stuff in 20 round boxes. Bulk 7.62x39 has gone way up. Saw some Romanian bulk 700 rounds (Berdan) for $300. High quality hunting ammo (.243, .308, .30-06, etc.) is still mostly available and doesn't look like it's moved too much in price. Can't find any .22lr, very little 12g in "small game" calibers (been looking for some #6 for a week or two - no luck). Can still find buck and slugs, about a dollar more per box than a couple months ago. Haven't seen any 9mm, .40sw, .45acp ball. Saw HP rounds in those cals, price up on those. |
