I had only went in to buy some tannerite for that day and saw a bin full of 100 rnd bags of .223, people were snatching them up like mad...I'm stocked up, but only buy what I need for a day at the range, no dipping into the reserves :)

Powder is easy to get still. Primers not so much... I can still get Rem and win shotgun primers though. Recobs still has them in stock.

If you are trying to buy ammo and guns now you are doing it wrong.

I feel bad for those spending 800% more for things...rifles and ammo, but damn.

Nobody wants things when they are cheap. If the ban never goes through, people holding 2500.00 DPMS rifles that were worth 650.00 a week before are going to feel stupid.

And paying 1 dollar per round of 5.56 is insane.

I watched an unboxing video last night on utube. the guy's 1000 rounds of Wolf WPA, 223 finally arrived. He got in just under the deadline. I'm sure they will soon cut off the importation of all ammo.

Your last comment here speaks volumes!! Been trying to tell folks this for years now. Buy and hold, you'll eventually use it if you don't need it as a prep. Stock what you use or can guarantee barter with.

This is the case all across the country. Most Armory's have done Three and a half years worth of business in the past 72 hours.

It is down to not being able to purchase reloading lead etc for these ammunitions as well.

The Government purchase a lot of it to get it out of our hands. But Civillians have purchased about 60 percent. Stores are now putting limits on their powder supply's as well. There is ZERO brass out there for .223/5.56 and some other rounds and the pistol stuff is going fast. I ordered 20 pounds of 40 S&W brass online two days ago so I feel comfortable that I will get that, but my supplier for .223 is out, Wally Worlds are out, all sporting goods stores are out. You cannot get Mags for the AR unless you want to pay a couple hundred for 3-5 mags.

I saw one on ebay this morning that was 5 P Mags for 800 bucks.

I bought two 30 rnd clips on line the 23rd for 19 each, 2 days later they were double in price. All on back order. These things are going for over 150.00 on the ebay, if the auction can stay up without ebay police shutting them down.
