Re: Abraham Lincoln was a Tyrant
The re-write of Lincoln's legacy has been stunning indeed. He was never an abolishionist, in fact he was a open racist, but he was losing support in the North for his scorched Earth war against the South, and the only large block of support he could find for continuing the war was the Northern Abolishionists.

His own Congress would not pass the emancipation proclamation, so in exchange for abolishionist support he went ahead and issued the emancipation proclamation as an executive order in the middle of the war, illegally I might add,.

Revisionist historians latched onto slavery as the root cause of the Civil War, but in fact it was merely an afterthought and a desperate attempt to shore up waning support for that awful war....

And the United States has never been the same country since...

There have been several defining moments that have tested the United States resolve to maintain the true ideals of our forefathers, 9/11/2001, The Federal Reserve Act of 1913, and the U.S. Civil War have been three of the biggest, and also biggest failures...

It's time to admit the United States that most people think they live in is gone, the only reason we think it's still here is because the T.V. Tells Americans how free they are every single day. Until we can admit that the ideals of our forefathers have been hoplessly corrupted, there will be no fixing this...

Now they want to compare Obama to Lincoln. Go figure. Two pieces of shit that deserve burning next to each other in hell.

You don't know what the term scorched earth means.

Lincoln was a bit of a racist, and quite frankly it worked out well that a embittered southerner assassinated him, that way we had the slaves freed and no deportations of newly freed black Americans.

The Civil War was 100% fought because of slavery. It was fought because the US was expanding West, and the South wanted the slavery to spread there. The North was against this notion.

When the abolitionist Abraham Lincoln was elected president, the South Carolina began succession and six more states followed. A month later in February, when the Union refused to give up military installation to the newly formed Confederate government on confederate lands, the Confederacy attacked, and the civil war began.

All cause over slavery. Period.

What are they teaching in the schools these days? The Civil War started because Rebels attacked a US fort with overwhelming force after belligerently threatening to attack it.

Well at least here in the north of the country I know there is no confederate sympathizers in the school system.

But I had to spend some time in Columbia SC to do more research into Lincoln's activities, to read the "rape letters" in the archives

How much time have you spent researching in state archives?

My mother's family were land and slave owners in Brazil in the 19th century. Let me assure you slavery was thought just as essential in Brazil as in any US southern state of the time

So how is it that Brazil managed to abolish slavery without a bullet being fired or a Brazilian citizen slaughtered, while the US civil war managed to cost more lives than all other US wars combined, never mind the maiming and devastation of people's lives on both sides

Lincoln unleashed volumes of misery and punitive destruction on the Southern POPULATION (not just their military) than the allies visited on the Nazi Germans after WWII

And I was born on the north shore of Long Island, thank you

What they unleashed was destruction of state capitals to take over the states and replace states' Gov. They also took over the churches at this time which required killing alot of people sent to concentration camps.

oh man! There is so much wrong in that paragraph I don't know where to start! Holy crap! If you think the righteous citizens (at least the majority) of the north would send their sons, husbands & fathers the fight to free slaves - LOL! NO. MOST fought to preserve the union. MANY were conscripts from other countries like Germany & Ireland. Most of the TRUE history which, as we know, is written by THE VICTORS, has been buried by our government. However, as was posted earlier in this thread, this link in the UK [link to www.dailymail.co.uk] is a great detail of what was really going on. Things are never straight forward in government - even in history. There are always ulterior motives. nd even as black soldiers were dying for the Union cause and a mission to send 453 freed slaves to colonise a pest-ridden island off Haiti met with a disastrous small pox outbreak, Mr Lincoln was secretly authorising British officials to recruit what could have been hundreds of thousands of blacks for a new life on the sugar and cotton plantations of Central America.

Re: Abraham Lincoln was a Tyrant
It's not that easy.

The U.S. fought revoloution against the British, and tossed those parasites out.

The victory was on a very thin margin, and the British Bankers and their hand picked Psychopaths set out to undermine the New American Republic and Union through sedition.

The Confederate flag is basicly the Union Jack, or British Flag.

As was back then, as things are today "Union Jack" meant anything BUT union, it was a total Fraud.

It was a war of conspiracy, corruption, and British instigators on BOTH sides.

It was a war of CONTROL over the issuance of currency in the United States.

Just like Federal Reserve has very little to do with the Federal Government it is a Private Bank Cartel who issues Fraud Notes under contract with the Federal Government.

Many of the Civil War Generals knew each other quite well, attended West Point together and I believe ALL were members of Secret Societies.

So, while these "Generals" sat around trading stories, smoking cigars, and drinking whisky, Morans were sent to the front lines to kill each other off?

Not much different than today, where sheep are swilling down whatever the MEDIA despots are serving up, while conspiracy nuts are screaming in terror while these malignants continue "putting one over" on most Morans?

The only thing I got wrong in that paragraph was the month in which Sumter was attacked.

You are right however, I also doubt the vast majority of Blue Jackets fought for to end slavery, in fact, racism was prevalent in the Union army, even amongst Generals like Sherman.

When blacks started to fight for the Union, they of course had to fight in segregated units.

Nevertheless, none of that changes the fact that the Civil war was started because of the issue of slavery, particularly the issue of slavery being spread West.

And guess what? Most Confederate soldiers were not slave owners either! I doubt most of them fought to spread slavery, they were just caught in the middle, as most soldiers are.

It's time to admit the United States that most people think they live in is gone, the only reason we think it's still here is because the T.V. Tells Americans how free they are every single day. Until we can admit that the ideals of our forefathers have been hoplessly corrupted, there will be no fixing this...

And we haven't forgotten it.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8397139

My family arrived after WWI, I am a "come here" and I went to school in the most liberal institutions in the NE, where the politicos send their children

but after I had a long conversation with a lovely polite gentleman in Columbia one day, I decided I needed to know more

and the more I read, the more I dug, the more surprised I became that southerners are as forgiving as they are to the north

hell, in the middle east there are centuries long blood feuds for less

and I began to understand why the US is far more complex than it appears ...because the conquered never write history, and the entire horrific episode of what happened to the southern population has been buried and denigrated as unimportant

As a result you have half the population (the north, the territories) who have never been conquered, who have never experienced defeat and the complex psychological after effect ...and another half who have been as devastated as any country occupied by a brutal invader

and they have to pretend it never happened, or pretend it was all their fault, when in every other war US historians are quick to admit it takes two to tango

No wonder the tensions are building and ready to blow

One looks at the electoral map of 2012, and it breaks down almost identically to that of 1860...

and that's all I'm going to say about that

Re: Abraham Lincoln was a Tyrant
The re-write of Lincoln's legacy has been stunning indeed. He was never an abolishionist, in fact he was a open racist, but he was losing support in the North for his scorched Earth war against the South, and the only large block of support he could find for continuing the war was the Northern Abolishionists.

His own Congress would not pass the emancipation proclamation, so in exchange for abolishionist support he went ahead and issued the emancipation proclamation as an executive order in the middle of the war, illegally I might add,.

Slavery was indeed a terrible injustice, but it was already on its way out in Western Civilization when the Civil War occurred. Revisionist historians latched onto slavery as the root cause of the Civil War, but in fact it was merely an afterthought and a desperate attempt to shore up waning support for that awful war....

And the United States has never been the same country since...

Period.

You're entirely incorrect. There was NO large movement (at least large enough to pose any real political threat) to end slavery prior to the civil war, they simply didn't have the pull, but the numbers of slaves and slave owners were steadily decreasing in the North and the South due to advances in mechanized farming. Many Western Countries had already done away with slavery, and it was only a matter of time in the United States as well, and when you take an objective look at it, the share cropping system that grew out of the Emancipation was really worse for most Southern blacks who merely went from being physical slaves to being economic slaves...

The real issue was states rights, interstate shipping tariffs on raw commodities, and the punishing interest being charged by the National Banks of the Northern States at the time of the Civil War. Many Southern States wanted to issue their own currencies, or institute state banking systems that would have directly competed with the large National Banking consortiums of the North, and there were fist fights on the floor of Congress over the control of money by the Northern States.

If the war had "really" JUST been about slavery, you would think Lincoln wouldn't have waited until almost the third year of the war to issue an Executive Order ending slavery in the North because he couldn't get even an all Northern congress to pass a law ending the practice of slavery, and it wasn't until after the civil war that they even discussed a Constitutional Amendment thar finally legally stopped the practice of slavery, and that ONLY after the executive branch had appointed all of their Reconstruction Governors and State Legislatures to pass the amendment...

And scorched earth refers to the burning of Southern Farmlands, the burning of towns, the execution of prisoners, and the mass starvation of the Southern populace...just FYI...

The US Civil War was not about slavery and ww2 was not about Jews. That was just the propaganda to bring about the Illuminati's globalism.

Soon after, in 1889 the conspiracy that runs DC founded the Union of the Americas

"The Organization of American States is the world’s oldest regional organization, dating back to the First International Conference of American States, held in Washington, D.C., from October 1889 to April 1890. That meeting approved the establishment of the International Union of American Republics, and the stage was set for the weaving of a web of provisions and institutions that came to be known as the inter-American system, the oldest international institutional system."

Bloody Abe started the war of northern aggression.

Interestingly, the President before Lincoln stance on the South was if they wanted to leave, they should be allowed.

It does look like the same conspiracy is getting ready for another civil war here in north America. As soon as the citizenry are disarmed the feds will be able to supply arms to internal factions to move people off the land.
