Re: "You positively will not die" Satan's theory of immortality deceived Eve and millions more. Why such gullibility?

Satan was actually correct. It was God who was telling the lies. Satan said you will not die and, according to the Christian, no one ever really dies. When you die in this world, you go to another world immediately, so death has no meaning. Christians think people go to hell or heaven so there is no death. Think about it. You don't actually think you will die. You will just be transferred to another reality. Atheists believe that people die and turn to dust. God said (in the quote above) that people whill return to the ground and return to dust. So is God telling a lie? Why didn't he mention that people would go directly to hell?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 20657814

Because hell is a non scriptural Satanic blasphemy invented by religious capitalists to frighten suckers into church where they bribe their way around judgment by passing the plate ching chingThis is what Christians actually believe;
" I, even I, have said in my heart with regard to the sons of mankind that the [true] God is going to select them, that they may see that they themselves are beasts. 19 For there is an eventuality as respects the sons of mankind and an eventuality as respects the beast, and they have the same eventuality. As the one dies, so the other dies; and they all have but one spirit, so that there is no superiority of the man over the beast, for everything is vanity. 20 All are going to one place. They have all come to be from the dust, and they are all returning to the dust. 21 Who is there knowing the spirit of the sons of mankind, whether it is ascending upward; and the spirit of the beast, whether it is descending downward to the earth? 22 And I have seen that there is nothing better than that the man should rejoice in his works, for that is his portion; because who will bring him in to look on what is going to be after him?" Ecc3:18
 Quoting: DGN

So you actually believe that death means death, that there is no hell or eternal punishment, etc. That is exactly what I believe as well, but I am an atheist.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 20657814

" For the living are conscience that they will die, but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten"..-Ecclesiastes 9:5

Yes, I am an atheist and believe the same thing. But I think it applies to everyone, not just to non-Christians and people who have other beliefs. I think it applies to us all. And I don't particularly care because I think the idea of eternal life sounds frightening, even if you think it will be paradise and all that.

What does one do for forever? Ever think about it. Think if you had to live on earth forever. I am bored living here and I can't even imagine having to live here forever. And even if heaven was wonderful and I was happy all the time, time would still pass as time. After billions upon billions of years, you would have seen everything, done everything, etc. So eternity would not even have begun. If this sounds like a pleasing idea, I sure wish I knew why?

"And to Adam he said: “Because you listened to your wife’s voice and took to eating from the tree concerning which I gave you this command, ‘You must not eat from it,’ cursed is the ground on your account. In pain you will eat its produce all the days of your life. 18 And thorns and thistles it will grow for you, and you must eat the vegetation of the field. 19 In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.” Ge3:13

Fact is god lied , men became as bad as him (Lucifer) the god who created man ....

GOD (lucifer) REMOVED the tree of life and then man died ....

Tree of life ?

SACRED SEX ....

shut the hell up with that bullshit
Exalted is He from what they utter. Exalted is He from what they imagine. Exalted is He that exists without a place. Exalted is He that was there forever without a time or a beginning. Exalted is He that will be there forever without a time or an end. Exalted is He that will forever be praised. That is your God.

So....

What were Adam and Eve supposed to do in the Garden for eternity?
 Quoting: pi

" Further God blessed them and God said to them: " Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth and subdue it, and have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving upon the earth"- Genesis 1:28
They were to extend the borders of the garden earthwide, in peace and happiness, and the earth would be filled with a righteous human family.

you are correct, it does apply to everyone:-" Look! ALL the souls-to me they belong. As the soul of the father, so likewise the soul of the son-to me they belong. The soul that is sinning-it itself will die"- Ezekiel 18:4
And as for living forever, really, we were designed to live forever. The Bible says God has put eternity in our hearts....I mean, what are things that you like to do that you could perfect with time? music? art? exploring endless animal life? etc., etc...I don't know what your likes are but imagine endless creativity...and maybe boredom is the result of so many limitations we have right now. and as for being happy, isn't that simple state of mind what people REALLY desire? yet so few attain it. being happy in itself would make living forever a joy?

I think that you are misinterpreting the phrase "forever" or "eternity." Imagine that I loved a certain musical artist and I got to take lessons from that artist. Imagine I learned to play the piano like a professional. Imagine that it took me 500,000 years to reach that point. Then imagine I learned to paint from Picasso himself. Imagine that took another 500,000 years. Then imagine I had a horse and a couple of dogs. I do love animals. But imagine having to feed and take care of them for 500,000 years.

Now...imagine forever. Would you not get bored with the music after a certain amount of time? I know I get bored of certain songs after I listen to them a few hundred times. Forever is FOREVER....billions upon billions and gazillions of years.

Imagine a butterfly that continuously flew around the world. Imagine that at only one point, its wings touched the ground and made a small indent in the dirt. Well, imagine that butterfly continuing to fly around the earth and each time its wings passed that point a little more ground was taken away, but just a teeny tiny bit. Now imagine that the butterfly flew around earth so many times that its wings made a hole the size of the Grand Canyon. Now, thinking of eternity, it has not even yet begun.

YOU would get bored. You know you would. You would want to rest. You would beg God to rest. But this is forever and ever. You can't escape. Think about it clearly. Do you really want to live forever or is this just something your church tells you that you should want?

Consider the possibility that you order yourself into being from chaos... You do this, always, in all ways. This "ordering" has resulted in the possibilities you're experiencing, here, now. In each experience you've ever had, more and more of "this" reality is generated logically from your previous experience. Your observation of this unfolding of order and chaos is reality.

God doesn't own you, you're not the devil you just don't qualify.
"So the disciples came up and said to him: “Why is it you speak to them by the use of illustrations?” 11 In reply he said: “To YOU it is granted to understand the sacred secrets of the kingdom of the heavens, but to those people it is not granted. 12 For whoever has, more will be given him and he will be made to abound; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. 13 This is why I speak to them by the use of illustrations, because, looking, they look in vain, and hearing, they hear in vain, neither do they get the sense of it; 14 and toward them the prophecy of Isaiah is having fulfillment, which says, ‘By hearing, YOU will hear but by no means get the sense of it; and, looking, YOU will look but by no means see. 15 For the heart of this people has grown unreceptive, and with their ears they have heard without response, and they have shut their eyes; that they might never see with their eyes and hear with their ears and get the sense of it with their hearts and turn back, and I heal them.’ Mt13;10

 Quoting: CelestialMaiden

"They"? It's more likely "you" partition "yourself" off forgetting what you are. Like multiple folders within another folder.

I don't quite understand. Are you saying that you are now creating your own existence? Are you thinking that this is all part of your imagination? Or do you think that after
you die you will then be able to will yourself to forget what you have experienced? I said "they" because there seems to be some consensus that God and angels and the like exist. So "they" would be able to send you to different points of origin after you die, and after they delete your memories of the past places, like reincarnation.

No one "knows". This "consensus" is just information provided second hand by "others". It doesn't mean it's true. Your personal experience is all you can truly claim you "know", everything else is second hand. We can speculate on stuff beyond our perception, but since it is outside our scope of experience, we can't know.

And God will wipe out every tear from their eyes.” Rv7:9

"I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever:"

Jesus said, "If you become My disciples and listen to My words, these stones will minister to you. For there are five trees for you in Paradise which remain undisturbed summer and winter and whose leaves do not fall. Whoever becomes acquainted with them will not experience death."

For like the days of a tree will the days of my people be; and the work of their own hands my chosen ones will use to the full. 23 They will not toil for nothing, nor will they bring to birth for disturbance; because they are the offspring made up of the blessed ones of Jehovah, and their descendants with them. 24 And it will actually occur that before they call out I myself shall answer; while they are yet speaking, I myself shall hear.
25 “The wolf and the lamb themselves will feed as one, and the lion will eat straw just like the bull; and as for the serpent, his food will be dust. They will do no harm nor cause any ruin in all my holy mountain,” Jehovah has said." Isa65:21

you are correct, it does apply to everyone:-" Look!

I can't imagine a day when people would say
"Is imagination no longer a place to play?" especially when our minds are a full capacity.
