What's the first thing you plan on cutting when taxes increase?

Devalue my house to cut property taxes (or dump it)
Cut back on utilities, with all the surcharges they get too much anyway
Turn in the recycling myself...so if I get a few cents, that less my town gets
Never park at a parking meter. If no free parking around I won't shop there.
Be sure I put in ALL deductions on my income tax return
I got a divorce so now I pay based on single instead of married filing separately

Then I will cut out eating out. Since they cut back on employee hours.

gambling and fast food will be my first two cuts.

high speed cable (what's the point if you can't napster?)

Services like termite, water softener, and cable.
We already cut 75% of cable, repair of furnace, going out to dinner, new clothing, mall shopping, and food.

I will be cutting my productivity ... the amount of time I work, my salary, and therefore lower my tax bracket.

if you can help it, don't cut out any creature comforts for you or your family. why should we suffer because washington can not stop spending?

instead firgure out ways to legally get around taxes, barter with friends for services. if he is a plumber and you a carpet installer trade services. no money changing hands just friends helping each other out...and no tax.

what's amazing to me is some of these so-called economist actually think it's not going to matter if taxes go up. well, of course it's going to matter. less money means less spending for us consumers.

I'm sorry to inform you that the transaction is actually taxable. So most people that do such things do it very, very quietly. Some people also charge a really low rate for the plumbing then reciprocate with a really low rate for the carpet installation. Kind of like trading fifty dollar bills, ya know. Then pay the small tax on the fifty. But me, I've had run ins with the Infernals and so I'm completely straight on taxes. They will make your life a living hell if you get on the wrong side of them.
