What's the first thing you plan on cutting when taxes increase?

I think I'll just stop paying the mortgage! Instead I'll save the money (it'll take a year to give me the boot) and with that money I'll buy some land and a used RV!

Oh I like responding to this post! I plan to cut out soft drinks, movies, start to car pull, start a moms club to trade children's gently used clothing, cut premium cable, cut home phone (only cell), lower Internet package or drop all together and use hot spots for free Internet, no more eating out... I'm going to pull the purse strings shut on any large corporation purchase! I Christmas shop this year through stay at home moms :) no more giving my families hard earned money to corporations! I also got free banking, paid a few bills in advance to bundle on the checks, stamps I'd be charged! Learned a lot of cooking methods for filler foods... Saved so much already! Ill post more if I think of some!

I started cutting in November to prepare for this.
I have cut the cable bill in 1/2. ($77.00 cut from the cable bill, and a bonus of cutting $30.00 a month from our electric bill by getting rid of all the DVRs)
Paid off the 3 credit cards and 1 loan ($250.00 per month)
Stopped buying expensive hair and skin products. ($55.00 per month)
Hope fully I have cut enough that there will be no "oh sh**" moments in Jan/Feb.

I will be cutting my productivity ... the amount of time I work, my salary, and therefore lower my tax bracket.

Regardless of the tax situation, I will be eliminating bills to the US and moving to South America.

Obama promised we would not get a tax increase if we made less than $250,000. Now we are getting a major tax increase. Another freaking lie, when are we going to get tired of all the lies and deceit?

I'm sorry to inform you that the transaction is actually taxable. So most people that do such things do it very, very quietly. Some people also charge a really low rate for the plumbing then reciprocate with a really low rate for the carpet installation. Kind of like trading fifty dollar bills, ya know. Then pay the small tax on the fifty. But me, I've had run ins with the Infernals and so I'm completely straight on taxes. They will make your life a living hell if you get on the wrong side of them.
