Yes, I lived there, and there were a few smaller quakes months before. I moved everything breakable about 1 month before the big one. I had a creepy feeling at the back of my neck for months.

Is good to be alert. I'm not from SF, I live in Arizona, but I was checking the map, and this is an odd activity.

Yep- I have had a bad feeling about Cali too. I don't know if I read it here on GLP or if I heard it on Coast to Coast, but someone said that California would have a pretty big one, and then a huge one shortly thereafter. Scary. Earthquakes always interest me, to bad this stuff didn't even hold my attention for a second in College, maybe I would have paid attention in geology and known something useful today.

An 8.0 in Cali would be dangerous in the present moment.....our economy, not so good. This would be catastrophic, I hope you're wrong.

hmmm we have a 5.2 near the coasts of Japan, its almost at the same latitude.

Throw in the swarm with the 5.0+ off of Japan. Worth keeping an eye on...especially with the New Madrid comming due soon.
