Several small quakes in the last few minutes. Does anyone remember if this happened prior to the last big one in Cali?

That's ok.
This can be the thread for the grown ups...
who want to talk about the SF swarm.

The other one is for the kids who just want
to fly BS flags.

People told you guys last month that you need to take your stuff and move out of SF. You come here everyday looking for guidance, then wont take it.

There is something obvious happening on the west coast.
When revealed it wont bring any more warning than what you are getting right now.

Yes, I've heard that for years.

And I think it's a myth.

Oh sure, it might be somewhat relevant,
But I would not base anything on that

Re: San Francisco
Good point. It could well be just a little release of pressure. I hope so... California has been concerning me for a while. No scientific reason at all, just a feeling. I always buy a lottery ticket for the same feeling though, so nothing to worry about.

Re: San Francisco
here's the quake history around the big quake time

[link to www.sfmuseum.org]

I read in a study there was just one foreshock 20-25 seconds before the big one (at least that people could feel)

And the epicenter was probably close to Daly City, just south of San Fran (quakes are a bit shouther today I think)

Hmmm. Did you see this on you link? Weirdos were trying to predict quakes then too

The "Weekly Star" quoted a Canadian weather forecaster named Wiggins as saying San Francisco would be destroyed by an earthquake today. No earthquake was felt in San Francisco on this day.

Re: San Francisco
Hmmm. Thanks for noticing. You know, sometimes I just wish we could get the big EQ over with. The one that I have read will go from Canada down to Cali, so that we can just move on. After that one, we should be good for a while. I have noticed more and more little ones in Washington over the past few days, which is where I live.

Why is northridge mentioned? How is that relevant to any quake in the Bay Area?

Exactly. I wish that people who are not native to Cali would stop with that nonsense. I'm not letting natural disasters (especially major ones that happen a few times a century!!!) dictate where I should be living.
