I tied to read Ayn Rand years ago, probably Atlas Shrugged.

I've never had a book fill me with such a cold, depressive feeling.

I just couldn't do it.

I've read Dostoyevsky and Solzhenitsyn without flinching, but Rand just made me feel dirty and dead inside.
