Re: computer buying questions
Are you buying the computer with your own money or Obama's money?

A laptop for a child for school seems like an absolute waste of money.

That has no specs listed. Could be garbage and it's only XP.

I'd go with this....best bang for the buck from all I have seen on your current CL.

Wait I take that back....its VISTA.

Lemme look more...hang on.

(upgrade this to Win7 and it's still the best I saw)

That HP is not bad either if it has decent CPU speed.
You could add another 2 GIG of memory too.
You need to ask them the CPU speed.

Just spend a few hundred more for better specs and the peace of mind of getting it from a good source. They're having a year end sale right now.

Re: computer buying questions
Your going to want at least a dual core CPU with 1.8ghz minimum.

4-6 gigs of ram.

500 gb hard drive.

when you buy the laptop make sure the hinges on the monitor are strong. The screens tend to break off the laptop.
