I have never been the same place that long. Guess if you had to do it then we know how.

Probably make more sense to do it with silver or gold then a rifle

actually if they pass a law where no firearms are allowed and would search for them it might come in handy how to hide them without messing them up

Re: How to bury a gun for 15 years.
There are a couple of problems with burying your weapons. Though I agree with the sentiment, I'm not sure it's the way to go.

For one thing, most gun owners are already on a list. Ever fill out a 4473? You're on a list. Ever post "anti-government" or "pro 2nd Amendment" content on conspiracy forums? List. Ever gotten a hunting license? List. You get the idea. Not that government is all-knowing and all-powerful, but they may prove to be more problematic than you think if they set their mind towards confiscation.

Any of us on a list will be treated as threats. Even if we turn in all of our weapons, they will assume we have a hidden cache of them or we know others who do, and we will be dealt with accordingly.

It won't be good old boy cops doing the grabbing most likely - hell, most of them don't want your guns. Or, I should say, they don't want to confiscate your guns. The problem is the new breed of "Brown Shirt" goons that are recruited to do the deed. They'll have the lists.

It could get ugly.

Not arguing, just throwing out food for thought.

The only way to proceed is to join organized resistance groups and establish good communication and early warning measures. If they really try confiscating it will not go smoothly and it will not be nice, polite men at the door. It would be absolutely best not to be home if they came. It is extremely difficult to be an effective help to your fellow citizens if you are dead.

organized resistance groups

The problem with your argument is that in these groups there are 97% undercover feds and 3% of citizens hoping to make a difference.
