Is it normal for dogs to die in the presence of their family?
Ive been pretty sad past 2 days after my little cricket passed. Ive always heard dogs will find a place to die alone, instead cricket chose to die near me. I miss the little fellow.
Mommas youngest getting paper like the oldest one.. We living better guess God felt he owed us one.

I read your original post. We had a similar situation in Oct. when we had to have our Collie put to sleep suddenly. My suggestion is that once you feel up to it that you get another dog as quickly as possible. The new pup will not replace your old friend but could well help you through your grief. We used www.puppyfind.com..

are dog passed in our bed in the middle of the night right next to me and it was really sad and I miss him everyday.. but I also agree that you should get another puppy as soon as you can it doesn't replace him but it will make it easier for you in the long run.. I am very sorry for your loss I know exactly how you feelhf

That is actually very heart warming that your dog died next to you.
He wanted to be by your side. Amazing.

So sorry for your loss op. dogs give us unconditional love, after all it is God spelled backwards. The creator knew that dogs have a unique purpose in our lives, to show us all aspects of unconditional love.
