When I googled it, the wiki link showed up, and underneath how it shows part of the text of the page it mentioned his death but then when i clicked on the actual page there was no mention of it. Someone removed the info.. maybe they thought it was one of those false death reports..

I really enjoy Ancient Aliens.. especially when it first came out. Haven't watched the last seasons of it. Heard it went downhill - but I'm sure it was still interesting.

These men, whom dedicated their lives to the real quandaries of human experience, they do not die. He will live on. Much like William Cooper still lived on, or Noam Chomsky will not die. These are men, who leave us with questions to ask ourselves, and that, is what I consider a legacy. The legacy of letting us better ourselves, by questioning who we are, and what our purpose might be. I won't say rip, because as far as I know, he wasn't religious, or would want that associated with him, but I will say so long.

I was saddened to hear about this last night on Ian Punnett's stint on Coast to Coast. He had Georgio Tsoukalos on to discuss it as he was a personal friend of Coppens for many years. Sounds like his cancer, angio sarcoma?, is incredibly rare - only 10 in the US per year, and moved very fast. As this is a conspiracy site, I can't help but wonder if he riled someone. I heard him recently - I think on the Paracast - and he was a great guest. Intelligent and very reasonable sounding. It's a shame such a young man would pass away and also one who was doing such great work in his area. Why is he dead and George H.W. Bush and Kissinger still alive? This is a great mystery of life to me.

I read that blog and was struck by his remarkable attitude towards his own inevitable death. I don't think I would be able to respond with such depth and calmness and clarity. I would be bullshit and hysterical. I am saddened by his passing.

mr. coppens is a true believer in something more than this mortal coil, perhaps that gave him the strength to be positive?

i just hope when my time comes i can face it with such grace and such strength.

God, I know right? He was 1 year younger than me! I really enjoyed his insights on the show and his death is so sudden as to be shocking. I was in disbelief when the tweet come from his account last night. Philip was truly insightful and will be deeply missed.
