Quoting: Lady Jane Smith Could be effectively executed from the deck of a barge. Morning, DB!! Exactly LJ, and placement could be over any number of large grids. I've worried more about an EMP than any other strike from NK! “One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.” – Carl Sagan |

U.S. ENEMIES DO Quoting: DoorBert Anti-ballistic missile defense system ill-prepared for assault WASHINGTON – A December 1998 Iranian military journal published an article titled “Electronics to Determine Fate of Future Wars,” and it detailed how an electromagnetic pulse, or EMP, attack on the electronic infrastructure of the United States caused by the detonation of a nuclear bomb over the U.S. would be crippling. “Once you confuse the enemy communication network you can also disrupt the work of the enemy command- and decision-making center,” the journal said. “Even worse today when you disable a country’s military high command through disruption of communications, you will, in effect, disrupt all the affairs of that country. “If the world’s industrial countries fail to devise effective ways to defend themselves against dangerous electronic assaults then they will disintegrate within a few years,” the Iranian journal added. “American soldiers would not be able to find food to eat nor would they be able to fire a single shot.” The journal went a step further in telling how an EMP attack on the U.S. electric infrastructure from the detonation of a nuclear bomb high above the U.S. would severely cripple the U.S. Read more at [link to www.wnd.com] This has to be the biggest pile of horse shit ever posted on GLP. If Korea or Iran ever used any sort of EMP weapon on mainland America, the retaliation by U.S. nuclear submarines would put them back into the stone age. Quoting: DoorBert Certain poorly informed pundits among the chattering classes reassure us that North Korea is still years away from being able to miniaturize warheads for missile delivery, and from developing sufficiently accurate missiles to pose a serious nuclear threat to the United States. Philip Yun, director of San Francisco’s Ploughshares Fund, a nuclear disarmament group, reportedly said, “The real threat from the launch was an overreaction that would lead to more defense spending on unnecessary systems. The sky is not falling. We shouldn’t be panicked.” In fact, North Korea is a mortal nuclear threat to the United States— right now. North Korea has already successfully tested and developed nuclear weapons. It has also already miniaturized nuclear weapons for ballistic missile delivery and has armed missiles with nuclear warheads. In 2011, the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Lt. General Ronald Burgess, testified to the Senate Armed Services Committee that North Korea has weaponized its nuclear devices into warheads for ballistic missiles. [SNIP] "More than 6 million shipping containers arrive at U.S. ports annually. Only 2% are inspected. The rest remain sealed as they are shipped throughout the country. It would be easy, some fear, to take a container, stuff it with explosives, a chemical weapon or a nuclear device and inject it into the nation's economic bloodstream." Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29907687 EMP = doom for at least 2 3rds of population of any country There you go! We need the EMP over the USA, actually far more than just one...in order to deny all the "eaters" as you call them the food stamps you hate them for. Stop all the electronic transaction and all of the poor, elderly on SS, the disabled, and all the "useless" people you hate cannot last for long. It takes away their medications and medical care too...great! They will die sooner. The idle rich who live to spend money on themselves will also perish…they can’t eat without their money. This just keeps looking better and better! I am surprised the USA does not just nuke us and blame the No Koreans. It would get rid of a lot of our problems. Only the strong would survive...and the conscripted labor force would obey the new rules imposed on them just to be fed. There would be lots of jobs…bodies to burn…a modern grid to build, farms to be taken over and worked. Yup, work for all and no “useless eaters.” The Well-protected rulers have plenty stored for their survival so all around it is a great idea. Wow, I can hardly wait! (For the literarily challenged, this is called sarcasm.) |
