This was already illegal in numerous other states, why did it take FL so long?

If you did not sign it, you are not bound to it. Stop complying, stop feeding the monster. Nothing is illegal if you did not consent to it.

I quit flashing my lights years ago because most people are assholes and deserve tickets. If they want to get pulled over then so what?

I'm curious how they can prove you were flashing your lights to warn of a cop? How can they prove you didn't "accidentally" flash them? Or maybe you were checking to make sure they still worked. Or maybe you just turned them on and then decided to turn them off?

This country isn't safe anymore.

Just because they say so does not make it so. Good luck on them proving that friendly flash was a warning. They try that shit here.

What if you see someone you know coming down the road and flash your lights to say hello? Is that illegal? How far away from a cop are you allowed to flash your lights at someone you know?

Here's all you have to say...

"I flashed my lights as a courtesy to the officer. I am always aware of the dangers our law enforcement officers face and flashed my lights to ensure my fellow motorists were aware that a public safety officer was operating in the vicinity. This act was out of concern for the officer."

Where? I can't say what I want or I will be fined. I can't own a gun without permission. We have a president who is a citizen of Indonesia, I can be forced to give urine in order to testify against myself, I can be searched any where at any time, and the states have no right to enforce or pass their own laws unless Uncle Sam agrees to them.

Seems like the constitution is just a fucking piece of paper that the government wipes it's ass with.

Just proof to me that they (cops, etc.) aren't interested in people driving the speed limit. They are just interested in collecting revenue from speeding tickets.

Think about it... If their concern was solely about having people go the speed limit, by flashing your lights you are actually helping the police do their job. Heck, when you flash your lights to warn others that may be speeding to slow down the cops should congratulate you and give you some kind of reward for being a helpful citizen. After all, we helped people maintain the speed limit.

On the other hand, if flashing our lights causes people to slow down the means less revenue for the system.

But people slow down when others flash their lights. And by slowing down you are being safer. Isn't this what the government wants is people to be safe? Why would they make this illegal(?), unless all they want is ticket revenue and could give two shits about being safe.

We use the downwards thumb signal in the UK during the day to notify drivers of police speed checks. They dont like it but what can they do?

If they start arresting people for this then that would be another ridiculas method of control.
