Notice it says "with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace." the gospel of peace there needs to be no battles, materially or spiritually |

You are protected by your faith. But Jesus warns us about the constant threat of the evil one. "Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart."
