Iron Dome anti-missile system deployed near Haifa
Deployment comes after IDF chief and defense minister warn about threats from Syria, Hezbollah.
By Gili Cohen | Jun.28, 2013 | 12:26 PM

Israel deployed the Iron Dome anti-missile defense system near Haifa on Friday. The deployment follows statements made by Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz and Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon regarding both Hezbollah and Syria.

Well, godzilla, on glp, war and total destruction is always a couple of hours away.

Everybody seems to have "secret" connections to "sources" in Israel, and those others have "secret" knowledge and understanding of the bible verses and gods ways.

The merger of these two, results in situations, where a minor event provokes a tornado running through this thread, where the "I told you so" crowds mergers with the "doom is great" crowd in one big orgasm.

The truth is different, and accessible with a basic understanding of things, people, places and events.

I will repost my thread a couple of pages ago, which didn't get any feedback, because it doesn't really fit into the "common mood":

Here it is anyways:
____________________________________________
Well, doomy mood is again rising, lets check the facts:

Assad is on the winning side, Aleppo is the next syrian graveyard, and iranian / irakian / hisbollah involvment is changing the war luck of the lion of damaskus.
We still fund the sunnies, more or less extremists from Quatar to the al quaeda spectrum.

BUT, some things changed:
1) The great US / Russia divide, being intensified by the snowden "incident".
2) The build up by the shiites to open the golan front, in one form or another
3) Egypt is on the brink.
4) Apparantly russia getting their peers out of Syria

The question now are the following:
1) Is the US or an alliance US/GB and some sunni moslem kingdoms changing the level of engagement in Syria ?

--> I don't believe that Obama is going to get involved in Syria, not with only 400 troops in Jordan and not without a consent at home and certainly not without a public campaign to get the americans behing the flag. Even dumb Bush and his minions constructed a public opinion to justify his attack on Irak.

2) Is Assad going to open a "Golan front", thus declaring and entering into a hot war with Israel ?

--> Certainly not ! Everything is fine for Assad, arms, munitions, troops are pouring into the country, for the first time since the terrorists attacked, it looks like he is actually winning, he probably is carving out a shiite/allawite syria for him.

3) Does Israel has any interest into getting involved in Syria ?

--> Not at all. Either outcome is bad. Either there are the shiites under Assad, or the sunni extremists under al quaeda.
Best outcome would be a syrian split up and infighting. It looks like this scenario is the more likely.

So up until now, there is no need for a doomy mood, true, the dance is on a razors edge, but states and organizations tend to take decisions to stabilize a situation and not to add risk to its environment.

Well aTOn, I will probably make you angry and for that I'm sorry. I'll admit I'm in a pretty bad mood right now, myself. I DID respond to your post, if you'll look just under your original one. But...I DON'T have any secrets, so I guess my response didn't fit YOUR agenda. Maybe, just maybe, we're all doomy, here in the states, because it's really sucky here right now. Every day, we get hit with some new surprise from the gov. that we're going to have to deal with. Most of them are totally impossible! I'm watching people I care about deal with complete sh*t in their lives that never happened before and shouldn't be happening now. I can't begin to explain to you what has happened here in just the last year. For so many of the people I know, they have taken all they can. Enough is enough. If that makes us look at the world differently than you see it, so be it. I wish I could see things the way you do, but I just can't anymore. I can't pretend that there aren't groups of people out there that want me and my family to die, just because of where I was born and the color of my skin. I saw and dealt with the Euro version of American hate. We were called names I won't repeat, we were spat upon, we had our things damaged and stolen, just because we were Americans. It didn't matter that we were poorer than most of our neighbors. Their kids only knew what they saw on tv.

As to any kind of secret faith...no. I have a very simple faith. I quit going to church years ago, because of the politics involved and the false teachings. I know who my Lord and Saviour is and why. I know the basics of the times we now live in. I leave the deep study to others. I don't need it. I know what I know to be truth and I know why I believe it. There is NO secret. I have ALWAYS spoken my mind, even when it meant it would/could cost me a great deal. That has never and WILL never change. I WILL tell my opinions to anyone that asks. I can't/won't guarantee they will be accepted or liked.

I'm sorry for the rant, but today, I've been lied to one too many times. I'm sick of game-playing and deceit in the people around me here (in home town). I've hit a brick wall and I've had enough, so when you posted that NO ONE had replied to your post when I had....

I hope we can agree to disagree and still be friends.

Re: WORLD at WAR, OFFICIAL 2013 THREAD (Doom always only a moment away)
Assad backers reportedly make up 43 percent of dead in Syria

A new count of the dead in Syria by the group that’s considered the most authoritative tracker of violence there has concluded that more than 40 percent were government soldiers and pro-government militia members.

The new numbers from the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights provide a previously unseen view of the toll the civil war has taken on communities that have supported the government. They also cast doubt on the widely repeated assertion that the government of President Bashar Assad is responsible for an overwhelming majority of the deaths there.

According to the new statistics, which the Syrian Observatory passed to McClatchy by phone, at least 96,431 people have lost their lives in the more than two years of violence that’s wracked Syria.

Of those, Syrian soldiers and members of the government’s security forces account for 24,617, while members of pro-government militias make up 17,031. Taken together, those deaths account for 43.2 percent of the total recorded.

Read more here: [link to www.mcclatchydc.com]

Note -Assad backers here means the people who are fighting for Assad. Add in civilian supporters and I'm guessing a large majority of dead are "Assad backers"

Egypt? Syria? Israel? Jordan? In the middle of a Mid-East trip, in the UAE, Kerry abruptly left for emergency meetings in Jordan...

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is planning to announce the convention of a peace summit aimed at renewing negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians on Saturday, Jordanian newspaper Ad-Dustor reported.

The summit will take place in Amman and will include representatives of the United States and Jordan, in addition to Israeli and Palestinian negotiators.

According to the report, Kerry intended to formally announce the summit at the press conference he was slated to hold Saturday at the U.S. embassy in Amman. The press conference, meant to have been held in the afternoon hours, was postponed. According to a senior Israeli official, it will be held after Kerry's Saturday meetings with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are concluded.

No, you do not make me angry. I know you have a good heart.

I am on this thread since the beginning. In older times we used to analyze events and try to put them into a broader picture.

Today we panic at minor events and analyze "scripture", "dreams" and "bible verses", while others "bump" without giving any inside but "pmp", "you got mail" and so on.

What I said above stands, and I do not retract it.

And yes, I am sorry, that I didn't see your response to my thread. I am here not that often anymore, and looking through tenth of pages of the above does not help to keep up "attention".

And yes, I always liked your threads. And, btw, for your hometown, in france we say: courage, meaning bravery in english :-).

Most of the time we get angry at things, we do not judge worthy of getting angry at, a couple of months later.
I'd say, if something would still anger you in your life after you have left this earth, than it is worth and right to be angry here right now.

Besides, taking out the S-300 by the IDF, before it is up and loaded, is certainly an option.

Other voices would say, it might not be the right moment to do so, and besides, it is just a S-300.
In some time, or even now, you fly the whole of the IDF fleet right above its nose raining roses and they wouldn't even notice it.

Like before, this decision is up to the security council and Bibi, which bundles the information and takes a decision.

I personaly believe, they are going to look very hard at the decision, and if it is cheap right now, they might take it out right now. If not, they are going to through roses in some future time.

In either case, the above all leading principle will be, not to get involved in the syrian terror war.

Besides, off topic maybe, but the NSA spying program is drippling out slowly but surely.

And there is going to be a serious backlash by the EU against the US because of that.

It is right now talking time, and all over the place angry voices are heard, very angry. The US has lost a big part of its credibility over this NSA actions.

Just saying ... .

Egypt is too early to tell.
Sure is, they are going to have a bloody weekend.

But there are no shiites like in Syria. So there will be no iranian axis involvement. So, no shiite vs sunni war on egypt soil.

As far as I understood, the moslim brotherhood is on the paylist of the US. As was Mubarak.

So right now, it seems to be a conflict between the people, wanting freedom, and the muslim brotherhood / US, trying to establish a controlled muslim state.

Since all the other sunni states from the house of saud to the dictatorship of Bahrein are on the US paylist, I doubt, that the demonstrations will change anything tomorrow.

BUT, Egypt has a special status in the moslem world. Egyptians, are listened to, and tend to be a "trend setter" in the moslim world.

aTon, I'm glad we're still friends. It's getting harder and harder, these days, to know what to say and how to say it. Our friend that started these threads, took a great chance posting the information that he did. He has to deal with the fall-out for that now. The other guys may not feel they can speak out as openly. Even when our friend was here, they shared information the same way. I know it upsets you and I know why. I guess I got used to it, over the years, when my husband couldn't tell me things. It would infuriate me, but I knew he had no choice. I think the messages you're talking about are probably more about deciding what CAN be said openly, than hiding anything from us. They still have to worry about their jobs, when they post here.

So much has changed here in the states, lately. It is NOT the country I grew up in and gave up so much for. I could give you so many examples, but it would take up another thread to do it!LOL My next Great American Novel! I don't want to fill this thread with it.

I think the time is almost here for open discussion to be impossible. I don't know what it's like for you in France, but things are rapidly changing here. It's feeling much more like "certain countries" in our recent past. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. Please be patient with us all. If we ARE acting a little paranoid, it might be for a good reason.hugs

I am working on getting an idea about the forthcoming Aleppo massacre / assault / purge / pinpoint strikes with some colleteral damage. As you want to name it.

I believe, up until now, the Assad regime is going to try to trap the rebels / terrorists.

[link to www.telegraph.co.uk]

That was in may. Up until 3 weeks ago, the blue area north of damascus is cleared of anti Assad forces, the blue areas at Holms are being cleared this week.

Now look at Aleppo, the picture up right. The international airport and surrounding areas are still being held by Assad forces. The "northern city" is government territory.

With all I got up until now, the rebels are armed by the US / Sunni axis and pour into Aleppo to defend the city.

On the other side Assad, Iranian and hisbollah forces are moving in very slowly. I think they are moving in slowly for the kill shot.

They let as many "fighter" as possible to get into the city, and then they will raze it to the ground.

As far as I know, they move to control the northern part of the city. They try to cut off the escape to turkey.

This is going to be one epic massacre, on the scale of stalingrad.

MM didn't post information already known already. If he is in trouble for what he said, you should all open your eyes.

The US people will never be subdued by outside forces, this is only possible by an internal coup d'etat.

And you are right, strange stories, unbelievable stories about people being arrested are getting into light more and more often.

On the other side, terrorist scare, race wars, radiation and last but not least, evil russia is making headlines.

Years ago, you walked freely, now you get rounded up.
We had this here before in europe, I opened a thread about this, but nobody replied. I think this doesn't really interest anybody on this board.

Here in France, people are overtaxed, and this is litteraly overtaxed. France has not the money to have a NSA, or something near like that. Up until now, we are quite happy with the police work, though they are too active on the highways, LOL.

But here, cities burn easily, if things are getting too pushy, very easily and that is not a pretty site.

I wish you bravery, in the US.

And a big hug.

By the way, the statue of liberty was invented in France.

Here is the original, in Colmar.

aTon, I'm glad we're still friends. Re: WORLD at WAR, OFFICIAL 2013 THREAD (Doom always only a moment away)

This is going to be one epic massacre, on the scale of stalingrad.

..... watching ..... in horror .......
 Quoting: ^àTOn^

I hope you're wrong, but I'm afraid you'll be right. The difference between Stalingrad and now, the weaponry. It'll be beyond horror.
 Quoting: Texan Buckeye

They already use chemical weapons in Syria. French reporters came back with blood samples, showhing clearly they use sarin.

Chemical warfare is on in Syria.

Aleppo, with the protection of Russia, Iran and Hisbollah, will be epic.

What the hatred of the lion of damaskus explode.

I just hope, they let the civilians out and that they get out.
