Pool and JW, your posts and the other war threads reminded me of something. You guys have seen all the fancy set-ups of dominoes, right? Pool asking about Pakistan made me think, if just one domino gets bumped, the whole thing falls. I have a bad feeling that's what we're going to see soon.

Hey Fellers... First let me start by saying I've lurked this thread for quite some time and appreciate all of the combined knowledge of all the regular posters here.. Now with that said I have some concerns of my own concerning the attention being drawn to the outer areas of our country.. Could it be with dropping our southern border securities that we are being set up for an attack on our own borders? All of our attention is being drawn to other countries and not being informed about anything South or North of us. Don't know but thought that we might be getting set up for a rope a dope.. Your intuition and views would be appreciated.

Hezbollah have bases in central America. Chinese have many civilian and military in the south. From there you could use your imagination. A smart player would have multiple options and strategies for defeating the enemy.
 Quoting: MIL MAN

Those of us that live within a day of the border and are awake, know what could happen and as ready as possible. If we don't get support from the state, we're basically screwed. Civilians don't have near enough fire power to take on the cartels, let alone a foreign military.

Thanks for your input .. I left the Military behind in 74..
Been watching what's going on globally and for many years have not been impressed with anyone who has been in office.. Now it's at our doorstep and we've paid these people to invade us even our own.. They are getting ready to backdoor us on all of our flanks.. Anybody know of a good piece of dirt to lay on with a few good friends? Always knew it was comin just never thought I'd live to fight from a ditch in my own back yard. Thanks again.. God Bless those of us that enjoy our hotdogs and beer.

Pakistani gunmen have torched five NATO trucks carrying equipment out of Afghanistan as the allianceís international forces withdraw from their combat mission in the country after 12 years of war.

Four masked gunmen on two motorbikes attacked NATO vehicles in the southwestern Pakistani province of Baluchistan, forcing them to stop after leaving Afghan territory. Attackers then poured gasoline onto the trucks and set them on fire.

According to the "chess game" described above the US has been drawn into an impossible position. This just might be the case. However, we don't have the knowledge concerning the secret special weapons the US has at its fingertips. Maybe the US has three Queens on the board, or a dozen of those powerful looking castles, or maybe a whole herd of those cute little horses that can jump all over the place, all hidden to be brought out at the right moment.

You don't really think "they" would let Obama make the moves do you?

Re: WORLD at WAR, OFFICIAL 2013 THREAD (Doom always only a moment away)
So yes, all eyes appear to be on North Korea, rightly so to a point. At the same time, Iran and Syria are where the great risk resides likewise.

North Korea is an example of diplomacy gone bad. When North Korea was busy pushing the nuclear card in the 1990's, the US failed to step up to the plate and systematically destroy what then were easy targets to ensure that North Koreaís failure to yield on nuclear weapons production would be permanently stopped and for which to then teach other nations not to cross that red-line. Instead, diplomacy won over, North Korea assembled nuclear bombs and North Korea continued with covert uranium production, took out fuel rods and obtained plutonium, and has since acquired the know-how to mass-produce nuclear weapons, though which the quality of such weapons is in doubt to some. At the same-time, to under-estimate this foe is to risk incalculable danger to troops, allies, and the US.

Intelligence agencies likewise debate whether North Korea could deliver a nuclear weapon if in fact she can assemble one correctly. The general main-stream press and the average Joe is of the opinion that North Koreaís failures over the past few decades at launching long-range missiles is clearly evidence that North Korea has no effective means of delivering a nuclear tipped warhead and thus, we can relax for a while longer. I cite the following articles AGAIN, to make the point that these same folks are disregarding crucial evidence of the fact that North Korea and Iran have the ability to launch satellites and thus they can launch a space vehicle armed with a nuclear weapon, deploy it to the right altitude, have it cross North America and boom, lights out to the western way of life.
[link to www.israelnationalnews.com]
(MUST READ)
There is tremendous amounts of information in that article and in the links cited with it. I will post some of the articles as they are valuable in proving checkmate from North Korea as well as Iran.

Iran is currently working steadfast to achieve its own nuclear umbrella and dagger to eliminate the west. The West did not stop North Korea and will not stop Iran. In fact, the likely scenario is that Iran already has its own nuclear weapons too and the same delivery systems necessary to hit Europe with an EMP blast at the same time as the US is hit.

Meanwhile, in Syria, chemical weapons suits have been handed out to Assadís trusted troops. Iranian military are swarming in Syria. Israel remains the focus of any Assad defeat as when Assad goes down, so does Israel by Assadís forces launching a chemical weapon attack on Israel to light up the west.

Hell, I was going to try to find some hope today and instead I am scaring myself back towards the bunker.

Re: WORLD at WAR, OFFICIAL 2013 THREAD (Doom always only a moment away)
Nuclear war is Kim Jong-il's game plan
2009
[link to www.atimes.com]

A little-noted fact about the second nuclear test conducted on May 25 by the Kim Jong-il administration of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) is that it was a highly successful fission trigger test for multi-megaton warheads.

These types of warheads can be detonated in outer space, far above the United States, evaporating its key targets. This is a significant indication of the supreme leader's game plan for nuclear war with the crippled superpower and its allies, Japan and South Korea.

On October 19, 2006, it was stated that the North Korean nuclear test that year may have been a test of a "trigger device" for a much larger hydrogen bomb. "North Korea's low-yield nuclear test in October 2006 did "coincide with the sub-kiloton tests of the fission trigger for a hydrogen bomb". "possibly North Korea's hydrogen bombs can be easily fitted on missiles".

The third possible attack, a high-altitude detonation of hydrogen bombs that would create a powerful electromagnetic pulse (EMP), would disrupt the communications and electrical infrastructure of the US, the whole of Japan, and South Korea.

Many of the essential systems needed to survive war would be knocked out, as computers are instantly rendered malfunctioning or unusable. Military and communications systems such as radars, antennas, and missiles, government offices, would be put out of use, as would energy sources such as nuclear power stations and transport and communications systems including airports, airplanes, railways, cars and cell phones.

In April 2001, the Associated Press quoted Navy representative Mark Kirk's "terrifying encounter in 1993 with what seemed possible nuclear attack" from North Korea. He recalled:
It was a no notice, no warning missile launch out of North Korea, and for the first and only time in my career in the NMJIC [National Military Joint Intelligence Center], I got to see all of the panoply of the United States military wake up in a few seconds.

We did not know what kind of missile it was, so the impact area, at the beginning, was the entire United States, and you thought about what we might be doing in the next 12 minutes: would we be notifying the president that we had lost an American city? We were going to know the answer in 12 minutes.

At first it still included the Pacific Coast, then it included Hawaii.
AP added: "Little was made of the 1993 launch at the time because it wasn't determined until later that it likely flew over Japan and landed in the Pacific Ocean, Kirk said."

It was not until 1998 that the US notified the Japanese government of the flyover of a North Korean long-range missile before splashing down off Hawaii. The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration quietly labeled the 1998 satellite launch a success.

According to a February 12, 2003, AP report, US intelligence had concluded a few years earlier that North Korea has a ballistic missile capable of hitting the western United States and possibly targets farther inland.

Re: WORLD at WAR, OFFICIAL 2013 THREAD (Doom always only a moment away)
Dr. Wood: . . . My colleague Dr. Graham has said that the EMP yield of a warhead is very weakly dependent on its energy yield. That is true, but it is true in spades. Special purpose nuclear warheads, on a kiloton scale, can have much more of EMP effect than ordinary nuclear warheads on the megaton scale. Less than ten kilotons properly employed in the type of warheads which have actually been examined, both in the Soviet Union and in the United States experimentally, warheads of less than 10-kiloton yields can put out very large EMP signals. So it is necessary to understand that it doesn't take a megaton to do an awful lot of damage. You can do an awful lot of damage in ten kilotons or less.

Now, the significance of this, other than pointing out that, hey, everybody is getting them as fast as they can, is that it has also been reported in The New York Times that the Iranians have been seen testing the launch of SCUD-type missiles from barges in the Caspian Sea, and so they are not waiting to develops ICBMs, Shahab-5 and so forth; that the CIA has publicly said they will likely have in well under a decade, they are looking to a possibility, one which was identified by the Rumsfeld Commission and tabled before the Congress, of shipping their short-range ballistic missiles presumably with weaponry of mass destruction in them as close to the U.S. as they can get in tramp steamers or barges or whatever and launching them from there.

This is not a conjecture anymore. They have been seen testing such equipment in the Caspian Sea

China will have to weigh refugees as well before participating. Does changing their policy mean they are progressing involvement?

China will no longer expatriate North Korean refugees.

[link to www.businessinsider.com]

Is there a US policy for refugees from North or South Korea?

[2004] There are an estimated 100,000-300,000 North Korean illegal refugees currently hiding in northeastern China.
