Lou, you may have the best profile on Kim yet. That may be why none of us could figure it out. We aren't crazy. We don't think like him.

I hope you're wrong, too, but I'm afraid you're right.

I hope I am wrong, but I worked with crocs that have more empathy.

Lou, someday I would love to hear your stories! The very closest I ever got to an exotic was, I got to pet Doug Henning's (the magician) tigers. And they were on big chains with the trainer right there! I know what your saying about the animals, though. It's always hit me hard when I hear/read about things people do easily to other people.

Re: WORLD at WAR, OFFICIAL 2013 THREAD (Doom always only a moment away)
I saw the following posted on another forum.

"Just got a FOAF tidbit to share:
Person I know has a daughter who is married to an USAF officer (I don't know him personally). Daughter hasn't been able to contact her husband for a few days until today. He said he could not discuss what was going on but to watch the news tonight (Wednesday night). Told her no matter what not to worry about him but his tone has his wife and in-laws freaked out. If I get more info I will pass it on."

I will add the forum is not full of looney tune wackos who constantly post what their uncles third cousins brothers daughters military husband has said!

I'm just throwing it out there. It's probably nothing, but you never know.

This could be true. When I was a young married DW, most of my friends had gone through the Vietnam War as military wives. They had similar stories. The husband would go to work, like he did everyday, and not come home. One of my friends was lucky, sort of. Her husbands buds snuck him to a payphone, so he could call her. She was VERY pregnant with their first child.

I don't think anyone's posted this on the thread yet...

Hagel's comments on North Korea -

North Korea is "skating very close to a dangerous line" after weeks of saber-rattling, U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel warned Wednesday as northeast Asia watched for an expected missile test.

"Their actions and their words have not helped defuse a combustible situation," Hagel told reporters at the Pentagon. He said the United States and its allies want to see North Korean rhetoric "ratcheted down," but if that doesn't happen, "our country is fully prepared to deal with any contingency."

We can all worry about this...

War With North Korea: Smallpox and Bioweapons Are the Real Threat, Not Nukes

... Yet though we may learn to ignore their threats of nuclear and artillery and cyber attack, perhaps we should listen to the threats they do not make. North Korea is not a signatory to the Chemical Weapons Convention. It is a signatory to the Biological Weapons Convention, but that treaty, lacking verification mechanisms, is little hindrance to even the most responsible of states. Working with "dual use" technologies in secret, North Korean researchers could have developed a great many things....

According to the International Institute on Strategic Studies, North Korea may be able to produce nerve, blister, blood, and choking agents, anthrax, bubonic plague, and cholera, with South Korea estimating its overall stockpile at 2,500 to 5,000 tonnes. But all this data is wildly uncertain....

[link to www.policymic.com]

AND - North Korea is known for launching sneaky attacks that they can't immediately be blamed for...Wouldn't a bio attack be just their style?

The missiles are fueled. They have to fire soon or they'll have to dump the fuel and service them. DPRK doesn't have the money or the resources to be doing that.

Trust me...Lil Kimmy is looking for an offramp, but he didn't think far enough ahead to build one on this road to war. He will probably launch one or two test missles. One of them will probably go over Japan. Japan will probably shoot it down as a slap to his face. He doesn't have nukes he can launch, so no one is worried about that. As far as his tunnels go, if it gets that far, we currently have the appropriate aircraft and munitions in the theater to destroy most of the tunnels...for the most part they have been mapped.

I think North korea will attack Hawaii and make another pearl harbor. With those 2 missing torpedo submarines.

They will launch a nuclear tipped torpedo in the port.

I made a threat about a 2 hours ago or something.
