[link to www.israelnationalnews.com] Bad voodoo....with the strike mm anyword on release of voodo as result of strike.......wonder if this is it...... Per media releases, all hope Syria took Israel's warning and he will back down. Voodoo release may not be known for a day or so. I expect more pushing and shoving . . . yeah -- i don't really expect a major flare-up, but who can say? we're now, btw, in the window for a hezb rocket offensive (though i don't think one's coming) --they don't have a record of attacking at night |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 11934995 Canada 01/31/2013 12:06 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Until now Israel has avoided becoming involved in events in Syria. But if indeed an attack took place Wednesday it could hint to other countries, like Turkey and the United States, that a military attack on Syria to topple the regime may be an option. It is interesting that Russia, which fiercely objects to military intervention in Syria, has also yet to respond to the attack. Russia’s response, if one comes, could hint to Assad and also other nations, the extent to which Moscow is willing to tolerate a military attack on Syria. Despite Wednesday’s attack, if such an attack took place, it seems the efforts to move weapons from Syria to Lebanon will continue, and may well drag Israel deeper and deeper into the Syrian campaign. Additional Israeli attacks will put the policy of Western nations to a test. The dilemma is that if Israel is allowed to strike Syria or Lebanon to prevent the transfer of weapons, and if Western nations have already agreed that any use of chemical weapons will be met with a military response, then why not attack Syria to save thousands of people and bring down the Assad regime? I expect this is the year that all holy hell blows up, maybe not this am, Maybe not February, but sometime very soon all holy hell ignites a big bad fire that will not stop before Damascus is burned. |

Quoting: MIL MAN White House releasing no info about President's Thursday schedule, other than AM intelligence briefing [link to mobile.twitter.com (secure)] I think all those trips to Hawaii were to meet with South Korean military. He may have from time to time - but I really have to believe he still has some very strong ties to Indonesia, which also happens to have the largest Muslim population in the world - and Hawaii provides fairly low-key, easy access means of continuing these associations. While also being removed from the Continental US, this provides additional removal from the larger amounts of press, equating to greater ease in movement and meeting possibilities. Granted, the same works for meeting with the South Koreans, or anyone else for that matter; we really need to remember these ties to Indonesia, as well as how such may/ will be used for his own advantage. It was also no accident that they just happened to purchase a home in Hawaii - and that has about as much to do with returning to his purported "childhood home" as it does with working on their tans. Ali Akbar Velayati, the Iranian supreme leader’s top foreign policy adviser, declared over the weekend that “an attack on Syria is considered an attack on Iran and Iran’s allies.” ... But Iranian news organizations have signaled Iran's disinterest in further escalation by highlighting Russia's firm response that such an attack was "unacceptable" but giving little indication of an Iranian reaction... But for now, the threat of massive destruction on both sides of the border in the event of another war suggests that the calculus that has helped maintain calm since 2006 will continue to hold, analysts say.
