Part of me wants Syria to retaliate...go ahead be that stupid and see what happens,then I think of all the innocent people that will get hurt/killed and that gives me pause, there is no right answer in any of this I'm afraid.

Mainstream view is that the game is over . . . but I think it has just begun, starting back against Hamas. Then Fordo and now in Syria.

So, there is grave concern over the threats waged by Syria and Iran earlier in the day. Their threats towards Tel Aviv are different than other threats as it was made at the City verses at the Nation of Israel. Wherefore, I find it very concerning as Tel Aviv has become the target of a threat by Syria and Iran who hold wmd's. Now that the biological and chemical facility has been hit by Israel, the retribution may in fact come as ballistic missiles loaded with wmd’s.

If in fact Iran’s Fordo was destroyed which appears still very likely, Iran will seek revenge.

Iran thus wished to have her allies push the war envelope on Israel by mixing chems in preparation for retaliation and moving any weapons Hezbollah wished to have back to Lebanon. Knowing darned well that Israel was watching and would react.

Their bad actions required action by Israel, which was foreseen by Iran.

Thus, Iran and Syria prepare their next step in the chess game. File complaints with the UN, dot all i’s cross all t’s. Then, their true plan takes place (attack Israel with wmd’s).

That plan is very worrisome to sources in intelligence, this is not going to be the same old game, and Bibi knew that when he hit Hamas last year, he was entering the western world’s 2013 with some very dangerous moves needing to be made. He acted and now waits too. However, Bibi will not stand by to see wmd’s loaded on missiles and may act imminently again. The problem, intelligence cannot count each and every missile targeting Israel.

However, the newspaper reported, some trucks were also destroyed in the attack.

The diplomatic source said that Israeli F-16 jets carried out two sorties over the installation, firing at least eight guided missiles at it as well as at least one bunker busting bomb. The installation was badly damaged and there were numerous casualties. He said that about 3,000 Iranian Revolutionary Guards were stationed at the installation, as well as several Russian experts.

So most people are hedging their bets that the current crisis in the MiddleEast will quiet down and the only retaliation from Syria and Iran will be terror attacks at best. Israeli government is somewhat hopeful too as Irondomes are the only evidence of consideration of attacks from Syria or Hezbollah.

Myself, I do not anticipate Syria can let this go. Assad has forewarned he would light up the MiddleEast and he appears willing to keep his word.

MM, that's why I asked about Assad's wife yesterday. Think about it. She's out of the country, so for now, his family line continues. That frees him up to do whatever he thinks need to be done. There's a good reason why we never go TDY with you all and some duty stations are unaccompanied.

Assad has no air defense, and his rusty army cannot hold back some arab rebels. And yes, he has no credible air defense.
Assad and his mighty syrian army, armed all those years by Russia has no clothes anymore. He is naked.

Hisbollah does not have an interest in getting in a fight against Israel. Why should they sacrifice their position in Lebanon ? Why now ? They can't be sure of staying alife in another round of fighting. And that, they know for sure.

Iran is getting under pressure. They might do something stupid. Thats why I said, watch the sea. They mentioned Tel Aviv. Iran plays assymetric warfare. They might have some surprises off the shore. Sure they have no surprises anymore at the other fronts.

I am watching China since some time, over the years China changed.

It is not the people, it is the way the chinese leadership is being handled and how powerplays are turning out in the flow of time.

There is a significant change since maybe some month.

Before we had a solid block of a communist party, a solid power block, more or less disguising as a market oriented "democratic" "diplomatic" and "open" bunch of "wealthy people" trying to catch up. Sympatic.

Since some month the chinese military is playing a bigger role in China, hardliners and their ideas are getting more and more into power positions. Things are shifting over there.

I don't know what their knowlegde of this earth is, and how they believe things are, but those people remind me since some time of the good old japanese military establishment running Japan prior and during WW2.

Syria, Iran are more or less predictable. China is shifting, they are big, and they are getting in a state where they are no longer predictable.

Clinton: Iran may be sending more people, arms to Syria

- There are signs that Iran is sending growing numbers of people and increasingly sophisticated weaponry to support Syrian President Bashar Assad, outgoing US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Thursday.
