Report: IAF strike hit Iran Revolutionary Guards in Syria

02The Iraqi paper Azzaman quoted Western diplomatic sources as saying Thursday that the alleged Israeli attack on Syria caused heavy casualties of special Iranian Guards at the Syrian facility. The sources also said that the attack took place more than 48 hours before it was reported, eventually being leaked by Israel.

The source for the story, who was interviewed by the paper in London, said that the report about a strike on a convoy to Lebanon was probably meant to divert attention away from the main objective of the operation, which used F-16 aircraft to fire at least eight guided missiles at the facility.

The source also said that the base was heavily fortified and contained experts from Russia and at least three thousand Iranian Revolutionary Guards, who have been guarding the site for years. Many of these Iranian Guards suffered casualties.

Israel most likely got its intelligence, said the source, from penetrating deep inside Iran and from other operations meant to penetrate Hezbollah.

So we now know Iran is pumping in Iranian troops and weaponry into Syria. Hillary even admits it on her way out. Iran knew Israel was eyeing the weapons factory near Damascus as they issued a warning to Israel prior to the Israeli attack.

Who knows how many Iranians were were killed but Iranian pride is at risk now, that and Fordo. Bibi is willing to play with fire far different than before 2013.

It would be in Russia's best interest to not mess with Israel. I have a feeling that might leave Putin a little embarrassed at the outcome of that. People always underestimate Israel's military capabilities.

Israel is enemy. About Putin - Putin's health not good and would be worthe in future. Near all prediction peoples say, that Putin would be president before 2016 year maximum.
Yes, Russia see Israel's military capabilities. But so Israel planes attack from dark zones AA sites and low high low then 50 meters altitude, so Israel planes can not penetrate syrian AA defence total (except dark zones). So during war Israel have not chances in victory.

And in few time after Putin in Russia would be tsar, what was prediction before.

Russia would be stupid to do such a move, it would invoke an immediate response from the United States (wether O wanted to or not he is bound by mutual defense treaty stipulation.

Russia will do what it does best...look out for its economic interests...it's not interested in the politics or the well being of the syrian people...they just want to get paid what they are owed for selling Assad weapons. If we give them a sweet enough deal they'll switch sides so fast it would make your head spin.
