Good morning all -

Agreed - much will likely be happening very soon, and much, much more before we eclipse 2015.

New Moon is next weekend, just for reference, but I do believe if the heat begins to be turned up a bit too high too soon, we'll technology unveiled and used that is not dependent on moon-less nights.

Regardless of the immediate timing parameters, I do believe will witness these technological advances in short order. Technology that, as I've written here before, will leave the majority of us as amazed as those who lived during the time of the strikes on Nagasaki and Hiroshima.

Forget this stupid bowl madness, and spend time over the coming days to hug the children, kiss the wife/ husband, and pat the dog. I believe the time is short that we'll wish for these opportunities once more - take advantage of the time now.

With regard to preparedness: the absolute most important "prep" one can make is the preparation for their eternity - EVERYTHING else is secondary. Make your peace and get right with God - you'll feel a bit stupid calling on Him for help after denying Him.

Keep watching the same area. The politics are literally changing from day to day. The local populations are terrified not knowing who they need to fear today. Our local office has quintupled in staff in the last 45 days. Everyone seems to be joining in the carnage party. All the actors are here. It is like a free fire zone with no holds barred. On another note an interesting story I heard...with some redactions. The Israelis may have received some information regarding a few bad concrete pours during the construction of Fordo. There were apparently 5 or 6 batches of "bad" concrete used that recently began to show signs of crumbling and cracking. The Israelis utilizing collected "evidence" were able to determine that with enough vibration the supporting walls would collapse and the complex would cave in on itself. They may have caused the vibration to occur.

At the office we were guessing that the "jet" was a 1/3 scale mockup. We were also talking about whether this could be a new Iranian drone utilizing some "recent" acquisition of US technology. Maybe down the road the "press" will be invited back to see it fly sans pilot.

Goal was to blow up plant (inflicting major blow on Algerian economy) NOT to take hostages -

Attackers had help from inside -

What appears increasingly certain is that the attackers benefited from inside help. They used a map to guide them around the facility, and at least one of them had once worked at the plant as a driver, officials said. But what the militants lacked was the technical expertise to execute the dramatic ending that some captives say was envisioned.

Two Theories -

(My original theory) 1) Someone inside Algerian gov't was trying to destabilize the current power structure and rented some Jihadists to help - explains why crucial plant was struck at the exact right moment (when foreign VIPs were there) or
(FSB Connection?) 2) Russians did it? Maybe to take out a Nat Gas competitor (and thus strengthen their own exports) or to weaken pro-Western elements in their old friend - Algeria?

Those are just a couple of guesses - whatever happened - it is looking less likely that the Marlboro Man pulled off this major attack on his own, especially given the fact that he was thrown out of AQIM a couple of months ago...

I like the idea of Israel moving into Syria as Assad falls and taking a ten mile swath. Then again, Lebanon all over again, or maybe not.

Israel Weighs Buffer Zone in Syria

Israel is considering creating a buffer zone within Syria, the British Sunday Times reports. The zone would extend nearly 16 kilometers into Syria territory, and would be used to protect Israel from the ongoing violence in the country, particularly from rebel forces.
