ERUSALEM - Renewed international efforts to negotiate curbs on Iran's disputed nuclear program have backfired by giving it more time to work on building a bomb, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday.

His remarks on the inconclusive February 26-27 meeting between Iran and six world powers signaled impatience by Israel, which has threatened to launch preemptive war on its arch-foe, possibly in the coming months, if it deems diplomacy a dead end.

Senior U.S. diplomat Wendy Sherman flew in to brief Israel about the Kazakh-hosted talks, in which Tehran, which denies seeking nuclear arms, was offered modest relief from sanctions in return for halting mid-level uranium enrichment.

There was no breakthrough. The sides will reconvene in Almaty on April 5-6 after holding technical talks in Istanbul.

Nothing will happen.

They had the same talks the same time last year, and the year before, and before, and next year at the same time, they will have another round of talks.

The truth is, that Iran very probably already has some kind of nuke.
Thats why there was no attack up until now. Its all talk and threats, the game being played is different than a run up to a Iran war.

I really have little to say as events are coming towards an EMP 911 coming soon. Iran and North Korea have it all planned.

CNN is reporting that Belmokhtar, Algerian Islamist based in Mali responsible for Amenas attack, received a congratulatory phone call from Benghazi on the night that Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed.

A written decree demoting Belmoktar was taken to Gao, the city in northern Mali where Belmoktar was based, and read out to the jihadist ranks there.
Some counterterrorism experts believe that Droukdel suspected Belmoktar of a role in the Benghazi attack and was anxious that such a high-profile operation would promote a severe backlash from the United States, setting back AQIM's efforts to establish a foothold in Mali and Libya.

Belmoktar was one of several leading militants based in Mali who spent time in Libya in the aftermath of Moammar Gadhafi's overthrow, developing relationships with militant Islamist brigades and buying weapons with the proceeds of smuggling and kidnapping operations.

According to sources in direct contact with Western intelligence agencies, Belmoktar was in Libya for four months from December 2011. They say his visit was facilitated by the leader of a radical Islamist militia with influence in Benghazi and the East.

U.S. commander says Iran sanctions not working

Severe sanctions against Iran are not working, the top U.S. commander in the Middle East says.

Gen. James Mattis of Central Command made the statement at a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing on Tuesday.

"In your professional opinion, are the current diplomatic and economic efforts to stop Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons capability - are they working?" Sen. James Inhofe, an Oklahoma Republican, asked.

"No, sir," Mattis replied.

Mattis later told Sen. Lindsey Graham, a South Carolina Republican, that Iran's "nuclear industry continues."

"I think we have to continue sanctions, but have other options ready," Mattis replied.

Just as the best laid war plans rarely survive the first shot being fired, these sorts of reactionary plans rarely survive the month based upon a constantly changing diplomatic and military front. What appeared to be a good idea and was working well last week may be a disaster if implemented today. This is a constantly moving target.

SEOUL, March 7 (Yonhap) -- North Korea warned Thursday that a thermonuclear war can take place as the United Nations moves to impose tough sanctions against the communist country for conducting its third atomic weapons test last month.

The Rodong Sinmun, an organ of the ruling Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), said in a commentary titled "independence is more important than life" that the military has become stronger and whether there is a nuclear conflict or a war involving more powerful weapons, North Korea has the potential to retaliate.
It didn't elaborate on the specific target of its nuclear attack.

Pyongyang has put its forces on combat alert on both coasts and declared a no-fly and no sail zone. U.S and South Korean forces ate holding large-scale war games in the area.

Earlier this week North Korea gave Western capitals notice that it would formally terminate the 1953 Armistice on March 11.
