LOU512 User ID: 15499118 United States 03/07/2013 06:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Things are really heating up, The US is being warned time and times again…This is what happens when you have weak leadership... I was not aware that this had happened in January, i guess it stirred Washington up little.. One thing that really caught my attentions was that Russia did not warn us in advance of moving nuclear weapons, a clear violation of the w START treaty "It is not known whether the nuclear weapons were transported by air, rail, or truck during the 12th GUMO exercise. Chief of the Russian General Staff Gen. Valery Gerasimov mentioned the nuclear exercise Feb. 22 when he said a surprise inspection of both conventional and nuclear forces was held. Gerasimov said the exercises involved the 12th GUMO and the Central and Southern military districts and that they were the largest maneuvers of its kind in 20 years. The drills began with orders for forces to go to “higher states of combat readiness and carry out combat training missions,” the website Russian Defense Policy reported. The exercises were also reported by the Voice of Russia and the Russian Defense Ministry website. Several hundred pieces of equipment, 7,000 troops, and 48 aircraft took part, the general said. The drills also involved moving forces to exercise areas far from normal deployment locations." [link to www.washingtontimes.com] The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting. Would like to know how our boys and girls are doing on the DMZ though They are being professional soldiers as they are every other day on the DMZ. I spent 3 days there several years ago. The tension is so thick there you could cut it with a knife. My understanding is that they go through similar psychological training a submariner would undergo. It takes a very special person to man that post. N Korea is definitly a wierd country in their thinking due to years of being so isolated from the rest of the world. They have perpitrated a few attacks over the last several years, but their attacks were no more disturbing than a nat on an elephants butt. The little man has a big sword to shake at us although he does realize that if he goes to far we will promptly shove that sword up his little ass and I doubt there is a country in the world that will do more than shrug their shoulders and say,'he deserved that...little punk' and move on. I know the voices aren't real, but man do they come up with some great ideas! Semper Fi USMC Very much an Occams Razor kind of guy. Bridging the gap between "It can't happen to us" and "We're all going to die". |

[link to www.aljazeera.com] The UN imposed sanctions on Pyongyang after it conducted nuclear tests in 2006 and 2009. The sanctions ban all trade in nuclear and missile technology with North Korea, but the report suggests that Iran and North Korea have been exchanging ballistic missile-related items. Additionally, the report says that these transfers travelled through a third country, which is suspected to be China. |
