What?

We heard maybe a month ago that Hizballah had acquired "some" chemical weapons or at the very least the chemicals, however they had no way to launch them. This may have changed. If I was tasked to watch one hotspot in the world most likely to erupt, I would choose Israel, Lebanon, Syria as a region. Nothing good is going to come from the direction things are headed. That is a professional opinion.

Korea is acting out quite badly right now, to much more they can do with name calling and threats, think we will see some military confrontation and maybe in unison with Iran's boys in the middleeast.

I'd worry about the soldiers on the soldiers (American and South Korean) on the DMZ, but considering how the NKs are likely to attack (if they do, which I kinda doubt), I'd be just as worried about the millions of South Korean civilians in the line of fire and the tens if not hundreds of thousands of Westerners (loosely speaking) in Seoul alone.

Agreed....however I just doubt that NK is ready to commit suicide, it just doesn't make any sense. If they did provoke a fight we have enough hardware in the area to teach them a serious lesson as to why they really shouldn't try to play with the big boys. We wouldn't destroy their country and most of their people would live through the lesson, but at the very least we would put the country as a whole back on it's heels.

My husband was at the DMZ a few months ago and he said the same thing, the tension could be cut with a knife.

There is a big problem with NK right now. They have their troops in position and on a hair trigger. This thing could start accidentally.

And with large drill sin the north and limited resources, NK cannot afford to hold too many drills or there will be no gas and ammo left.

NK going crazy, and in its protective shadow, war is done on Israel ?

NK is capable of being bribed and Iran is that player most capable of bribing NK, er well China and Russia could be involved too, but setting aside those two conspiracies, Iran has a friend, NK and NK has a friend, Iran.
They both would conspire to achieve their own strategic victories and if each of them could have one mutual enemy removed to their benefit, it would be the US. Iran needs the US out of the Mideast and North Korea needs to the US out of the penninsula or at least to not support South Korea. Thus, they both strategize how to do it and perhaps the strategy is more simple than thought. It was to get in a weak US leader who would not support Israel and move all of its carriers out of the mideast as well as the same weak leader to not truly support South Korea and move most forces out of harms way and then relay the fact that this weak leader would not pursue a war he did not beleive in and voila we are where we are today. A second before some very bad shit happens in the mideast and Korea.

You know, China is thinking in long terms, not in short terms. And every little detail, needs to fit the plan, in order to execute it.

That is not yet. The US "pivot" is standing in the middle. Details do not match with the plan.

But where you are right, the plan exists and it is made for in the now.

Obama certainly failed in persuading the wolves not to get too near to the house.

I hate wolves, seriously they look for the weak and use the pack to run their prey into a trap. I have almost got suckered into a few traps this winter where I was circled by a pack just waiting for the moment. Good thing I try to carry, I took out the instigator and lived to tell.

Here, the US has failed to take out the instigators of the pack. Trouble everywhere. War Index is at an new immeasurably high level, I just added a new level to 12 and we are at 11.9 for the weekend to start with.

Here, in Europe, countries are breaking down. Down means there is not enough food, no medecin, no jobs, people are rioting in the streets. Violantly. Greece, Portugal, Spain, Italy, France it is starting.
