WORLD at WAR, OFFICIAL 2013 THREAD (Doom always only a moment away) | |

It is currently being reported on multiple outlets. The FSA is blaming the Syrian regime on the attack. Somewhere between 16 and 25 have died. Many Syrian soldiers. Reports say women and children were seen suffocating in the streets along with a strong smell of chlorine. I fear the fuse has been lit, how long it is and what is at the other end is to be determined. Quoting: Gerry52 I swear I can't leave you kids alone for five minutes and all hell breaks loose. |

Quoting: Swinburnian Here's an interesting link from the Toronto National Post, about war gaming an Iran/Israel conflict where both sides have nuclear weapons. [link to fullcomment.nationalpost.com] Not sure how I missed this book, unless it had something to do with keeping the wife and kids fed and clothed. They can be demanding that way. No worries, Bibi has his coalition. Lapid has already come off his pre-election fairytales and is promising "tough times" ahead. It's amazing how someone with, like, 3rd grade education will tackle the Global Recession aftershocks in most volatile region, no less. But stranger things have happened before. Bogie is Defense Minister. My boy Bennett and Livni secretly have hots for one another over the Palestinian State, you just know it, the hate Mcsex is teh best; go for it too bad Hanin Zoabi can't join in!@ Iran? Who's that? |

Assad's military doctrine actually calls for massive deployment of VX & Sarin over Israeli cities in the event of a war. Wouldn't be surprised if Nasrallah has funny business planned. Dumb idea of course but no less dangerous because it's dumb. As long as the gassing stays within Syria, the world will do nothing. |

ASV User ID: 15006359 United States 03/19/2013 08:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So according to Time/Walla, the Iron Dome tamir intercepter is only a few measly 1,000 price instead of 60,50,40 thou (plus originally 2 interceptors had to be fired for every projectile in 2011 before improvements were implemented in 2012 and 2013)? I mean we all knew with the usual Economy-of-scale, production-line optimization & classic Israeli cheap know-how.... eventually the cost would have been cut to 20,000-30,000 bucks a piece, and only 1 intercepter needed to be fired. Which still made it much more expensive than Chinese Grads Gaza terrorists were firing. But if true, this is a whole nother level of 'noyce'. I mean, this was the ONE clear advantage of the 'Nautilus/Skyguard' system over Iron Dome (with like half-dozen well-known liabilities) ---- and now turns out not to even be true anymore? LOL. And now the newer Iron Dome 2.0 batteries can intercept heavier Fajr-5 rockets -- maybe even Hezbollah's Zelzal which weights like 2 tons with a big warhead??? That is game-changer. No wonder they're showing it off to Obama at the airport. |

I, for one, enjoy your posts and if I ever became a child molester you would be my 1st victim... No worries - I like my men like my steaks, well-seasoned. Second, are we sure it was the FSA? For what I can discern (which ain't much)- there are at least three main rebel groupings, composed of myriad factions, in Syria. They are the Western-touted FSA, the Qatari & Turkish-backed MB groups (al-Tawlid being prominent) and the KSA-backed Salafists (al-Nusra Front being most prominent). Seems like the big mo' is with the al-Nusra Front right now... Did they lob a game changer in Northern Syria to take advantage of their current tactical advantage? Just askin' |

ASV User ID: 16907839 United States 03/20/2013 09:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So have Obama and Kerry brought Peace to the holyland? Come on, I wanna see how true, lasting Peace & Progressive Utopia really looks like! You can do it, Barry Soetorovich, I BELIEVE! One thing's for sure: if after overcoming crazy odds during 2,000 year exile, pogroms, the Shoah and then 5 wars, unremitting terror -- all while having very few resources & training at the time.... well now that Israel is a thriving powerhouse, if it continues to get snookered on a strategic & PR level by Arafat's boys, Abbas, Saeb Erekat, Nabil Shaath then maybe Jews DON'T have the right to exist, afterall. Because it means they don't WANT to exist and have effectively jumped the shark. |

Obama and Bill Clinon are MASTER politians; as different as they are temperamentally and even ideologically, what they have in common: they are GOP-slayers. And they don't slip up. The closest Obama came was the 'you didn't build that' snafu, and even that was more or less taken out of context. Obama has simply match his match -- Bibs -- which is what frustrates him so, LOL. |
