Endgame about Kirkuk is about to begin.
Kirkuk ? ... is the oil rich kurdish city in northern Irak.

In the last weeks troops from the shiite controlled irakian dictator moved up from the south, crashing and uprooting the sunnis on their way.

Now kurdish pershmergas took position south of Kirkuk to defend the city.

The two military forces face each other off, sometimes only with 100 meters of distance. Both have order to shoot and are heavily armed.

Irak is already in a civil war between the iranian controlled shiite dictator and the house of saud controlled sunni "resistance".

Now the kurds are forced to take part in this civil war.

They've always been a part of it. Saddam killed hundreds of thousands of them in the late 80s in a genocide campaign.

Hussein even gassed whole cities.

Kurdish ancient territory (occupied by the arabs and turks some hundred years ago) stretches from Syria, Turkey / Irak into Iran.

As far as I know, Israel has a secret understanding with the Kurds.

Kirkuk is important for the kurdish people. It is kind of their capital.

Kurds got weapons, military advisors and training from Israel in the past.

Kurds are fighting the sunnis like the shiites and the turks since centuries. Interesting little hard core people, the kurds.

Nasrallah Threatens Golan Front With Israel
