I don't have any new news or anything to add, but today has just seemed strange. People I've met in the last few days have seemed unusually pensive and nervous. It's not just me saying that either. People seem to be picking up on something coming on a not quite conscious level. To quote a close friend of mine, spooky things are afoot. Last night, we both saw Apaches flying overhead and we almost NEVER see those where we are.

Well, godzilla, on glp, war and total destruction is always a couple of hours away.

Everybody seems to have "secret" connections to "sources" in Israel, and those others have "secret" knowledge and understanding of the bible verses and gods ways.

The merger of these two, results in situations, where a minor event provokes a tornado running through this thread, where the "I told you so" crowds mergers with the "doom is great" crowd in one big orgasm.

The truth is different, and accessible with a basic understanding of things, people, places and events.

I will repost my thread a couple of pages ago, which didn't get any feedback, because it doesn't really fit into the "common mood":

Well, doomy mood is again rising, lets check the facts:

Assad is on the winning side, Aleppo is the next syrian graveyard, and iranian / irakian / hisbollah involvment is changing the war luck of the lion of damaskus.
We still fund the sunnies, more or less extremists from Quatar to the al quaeda spectrum.

BUT, some things changed:
1) The great US / Russia divide, being intensified by the snowden "incident".
2) The build up by the shiites to open the golan front, in one form or another
3) Egypt is on the brink.
4) Apparantly russia getting their peers out of Syria

The question now are the following:
1) Is the US or an alliance US/GB and some sunni moslem kingdoms changing the level of engagement in Syria ?

--> I don't believe that Obama is going to get involved in Syria, not with only 400 troops in Jordan and not without a consent at home and certainly not without a public campaign to get the americans behing the flag. Even dumb Bush and his minions constructed a public opinion to justify his attack on Irak.

2) Is Assad going to open a "Golan front", thus declaring and entering into a hot war with Israel ?

--> Certainly not ! Everything is fine for Assad, arms, munitions, troops are pouring into the country, for the first time since the terrorists attacked, it looks like he is actually winning, he probably is carving out a shiite/allawite syria for him.

3) Does Israel has any interest into getting involved in Syria ?

--> Not at all. Either outcome is bad. Either there are the shiites under Assad, or the sunni extremists under al quaeda.
Best outcome would be a syrian split up and infighting. It looks like this scenario is the more likely.

So up until now, there is no need for a doomy mood, true, the dance is on a razors edge, but states and organizations tend to take decisions to stabilize a situation and not to add risk to its environment.

The forth of July makes me nervous this year.

Well aTOn, I will probably make you angry and for that I'm sorry. I'll admit I'm in a pretty bad mood right now, myself. I DID respond to your post, if you'll look just under your original one. But...I DON'T have any secrets, so I guess my response didn't fit YOUR agenda. Maybe, just maybe, we're all doomy, here in the states, because it's really sucky here right now. Every day, we get hit with some new surprise from the gov. that we're going to have to deal with. Most of them are totally impossible! I'm watching people I care about deal with complete sh*t in their lives that never happened before and shouldn't be happening now. I can't begin to explain to you what has happened here in just the last year. For so many of the people I know, they have taken all they can. Enough is enough. If that makes us look at the world differently than you see it, so be it. I wish I could see things the way you do, but I just can't anymore. I can't pretend that there aren't groups of people out there that want me and my family to die, just because of where I was born and the color of my skin. I saw and dealt with the Euro version of American hate. We were called names I won't repeat, we were spat upon, we had our things damaged and stolen, just because we were Americans. It didn't matter that we were poorer than most of our neighbors. Their kids only knew what they saw on tv.

As to any kind of secret faith...no. I have a very simple faith. I quit going to church years ago, because of the politics involved and the false teachings. I know who my Lord and Saviour is and why. I know the basics of the times we now live in. I leave the deep study to others. I don't need it. I know what I know to be truth and I know why I believe it. There is NO secret. I have ALWAYS spoken my mind, even when it meant it would/could cost me a great deal. That has never and WILL never change. I WILL tell my opinions to anyone that asks. I can't/won't guarantee they will be accepted or liked.

I'm sorry for the rant, but today, I've been lied to one too many times. I'm sick of game-playing and deceit in the people around me here (in home town). I've hit a brick wall and I've had enough, so when you posted that NO ONE had replied to your post when I had....

I hope we can agree to disagree and still be friends.
