U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry made the announcement in the Jordanian capital, Amman, on July 19 during last-minute shuttle diplomacy between the two sides. Kerry hailed the agreement as historic. The gossip is that Abbas does not support the talks, but he did not want to embarrass Kerry, so he is sending a representative to Washington, but he's not supportive... I don't a Palestinian leader can be supportive of peace right now - sad b/c their people have the most to gain. |

"Mr. President, you should look happy," Kerry said. Abbas did not respond. "The whole situation is still on hold and we still need clarifications from Netanyahu," Yousef said, adding that Palestinians decided to send representatives to Washington next week as "a diplomatic way of not describing Kerry's efforts as failure." Quoting: M m I did not disappear for no reason shortly before all of the NSA stuff came about. I am a marked man. The files they have on each of us here at GLP, this thread in particular, it is frightening. MM, bud, I've been around long enough to know that pretty much everything we do and say is monitored. What people don't realize is that it has been going on for a very long time. For all of my adult life I'm sure and I'm 56 years old. I learned a long time ago to keep in mind that everything you can do and say can come back to bite you. I keep that in mind and it keeps me straight. In my younger days I was more concerned about it. Now, I don't care. Over 50+ years I've watched our rights, our livelihood, our culture, our very foundations as a free people being stripped away. Slowly and painstakingly. Now in the twilight of freedom in this country, I will say whatever I want, whenever I want. Monitor me. Watch everything I do. I hope these motherfuckers enjoy the show :D I hear you and know and support what you are saying but I am bound by certain things to watch what I say or things can come back to haunt me. In the next few months, by choice I will accept the fact that I will be in such a position that I too will not care anymore cause the long arm of the alphabets will not be able to reach me so easily then and I will be well prepped and locked and loaded for more than just games as will my entire neighborhood and area sort of speaking in broad terms. I am still counting down the days. My point on this subject is: As long as you have a "democratic" system, and as long as the government is not the enemy of the people, and as long as you have rights, this NSA behaviour can be interpreted as a good will to protect you from terrorism. The problem with that, in my eyes of an european, who saw changes from dictatorship, communism and pseudo democracy within a life span, is, that the NSA system put into place is a loaded gun pointing to your head. And you are left to hope, that the guy controlling it, is a good guy. But that, will change, and the probability is 100%. |
