The congressional pay freeze should be separated from the federal workers pay freeze because they are right now using middle class America as leverage for their own pay increases. America land of the free!!! lol and home of the brave!! free and brave but ur guns soon will be talkn from u all. I love these tirades. They are always written at about a third grade level. In a vernacular that reminds me of a dumb kid on the playground. These are the sort of folks that got Obama elected to a second term. People with the perspicacity of an eight year old. "I'm a badass cowboy livin' on the west side---me and Artimus Clyde Frog gonna save Selma Hyak from a big metal spider." Satis Eloquentiae, Sapientiae Parum.... "It tells me, goose stepping morons like yourself should try reading books instead of burning them!" Henry Jones, JR. "Last Crusade." The CIA didn't kill Kennedy, a pissed off mob boss did! |

The political brinkmanship has hurt investor confidence and consumer spending, and if a prolonged stalemate drags into the early months of 2013, the price of Washington’s inaction on the economy could be even steeper. America has gone full retard. I cannot believe we are so damn complaisant that there isnt riots. What can we do? We voted for Romney, but Obama was reinstalled. Rioting in our own neighborhoods would be stupid and we don't have the right to go wreck someone else's. Rioting in DC would make more sense but that place is well militarized to stop it. So yes "we gotta do something" but what? I do not know the answer. |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 15910017 01/01/2013 05:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Murdoch: Senate Deal 'Won't Fix Economy' Media baron Rupert Murdoch doesn't see the Senate's fiscal cliff vote early Tuesday as a victory for anybody, especially President Obama. Indeed, he tweets, the deal overwhelmingly passed by the Senate is likely to tank the economy. [link to www.newsmax.com] Senate-Passed Deal Means Higher Taxes on 77% of Households The budget deal passed by the U.S. Senate today would raise taxes on 77.1 percent of U.S. households, mostly because of the expiration of a payroll tax cut, according to preliminary estimates from the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center in Washington. More than 80 percent of households with incomes between $50,000 and $200,000 would pay higher taxes. Among the households facing higher taxes, the average increase would be $1,635, the policy center said. A 2 percent payroll tax cut, enacted during the economic slowdown, is being allowed to expire as of yesterday. In my opinion this time will be no different. It's all a show, really. Both sides wait till the last minute, strike a deal then parade themselves as the hero of the day. It's designed to give us faith in their ability to get things done, but in reality they're powerless against the unending financial complexities they themselves created. Just my two cents, but that's how it's consistently appeared to me over the last 30 years. |
