Replace with foods that have a lot of flavor, that are filling but won't sabotage your diet. For instance, flavored pistachios. Then for even more munchies, celery stalks dipped in peanut butter. Or just really don't eat anything after 9. Not that hard...but I understand addicts can have a hard time with what's easy for most people. Just realize that your hunger, and your craving for good tasting things, are only sensations...you have choice and can outlast those temporary sensations. |

I am good all day then blow it with the late night eating. Cereal or toast kills me. I cannot just eat...I have to over eat. My best diet starts Jan 2 as well. I have taken up juices that are very satisfying. I am lying off wheat products as well. What is most important is I am portion controlling myself. When I go to my bed, I will have a glass of carrot mixed juice to tide me over. Good luck to us both. |

Then use that food value up by doing more weight training. Do a lot of full body workouts with an emphasis on total body movement i.e. squats variants with or without weight etc. Make your core strong. Learn and use different lifting exercises and fitness methods often. You can eat really good on a diet. Each day write down each thing you eat and write down your daily exercise and time spent. Set goals for the next day each night for diet and exercise. Grade yourself each night and set your next days goals. Drink more water. |

Juices are healthy, but they can spike the blood sugar more than most foods...you may notice this effect if you just have some juice, a short while later you'll be hungrier than usual. Some would say juice is the worst thing for a diet. For overweight people, in Ayurvedic medicine, they say to dilute the juice half and half with water. Speaking of blood sugar fluctuation, which is a very important aspect of weight loss...look into taking cinnamon as a supplement. It improves insulin sensitivity. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 27855584 United States 01/01/2013 02:53 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm with you. I'm tired of being unhealthy and I'm ready to look and feel my best. I don't have a problem with eating too late at night (luckily), but I crave a lot of bad foods - mostly salty stuff like chips, fries, pizza, etc. and I always eat way more than I need to. I plan to start exercising an hour a day and switching to healthy snacks - nuts, fruit, rice cakes, etc. I'm also going to drink more water and tea (instead of Diet Coke, which I love). I know that if I just dive into a new lifestyle, I'll get discouraged after a week and quit (it's happened before) so I'm also going to try to mellow out, meditate, and try to get into a positive frame of mind along with these new changes. Good luck to you! |

Just take it a day at a time and don't beat yourself up if you slip. Get right back on your eating plan. Protein is key and some unprocessed, unrefined carbs in the morning keep you satisfied best. You can do this!! |

Quoting: Help 25739945 I scheduled four hours of exercise a week with my buddy, and one phone session a week with my awesome diet coach. My big challenge is not eating sweets after 9pm. It's like an addict within me sabotages me with destructive behavior. Advice? Don't think of it as a diet, make a lifestyle change forever..... and don't think quitting sweets alone will do it. I lost 53 pounds my first 90 days of clean food. It melts off!! Without even trying.. [link to www.100daysofrealfood.com] Do it!! |

I lost 53 pounds my first 90 days of clean food. It melts off!! Without even trying.. [link to www.100daysofrealfood.com] Do it!! Here is a tip to easily eating clean food... Nothing processed or with more than 5 ingredients if processed. If trying to lose wight, eat MORE often and go low carb as well. It doesn't mean you can't enjoy your foods, one of my fave things is a BLT sandwich.. So to stick with my plan I use a zero (net) carb bread... vegenaise.. turkey bacon.. and obviously lettuce and tomatoes are ok. Just find ways to make it work for you!! I even make pizza using lavash low carb wraps, spread coconut oil on it, crushed garlic, spinach, turkey peperoni, and lowfat mozzarella.. You can find ways to make most of your fave foods. Here is a good daily plan.. (you can switch it up, like whole grains with lunch as a low carb bread..etc) 8am I use a superfood shake, but oatmeal or eggs are fine.. 10am crunchy fruit.. (apple, pear, berries, peach..etc) 12pm greens and protein 3pm yogurt, cheese, nuts 6pm full plate - 1/4 whole grain - 1/4 protein - 1/2 colorful veggies.. If I'm wanting sweets I stick to raw honey or agave syrup or Almond chocolate milk. If you drink milk, switch to unsweetened almond milk. 30 calories per 8 oz.. Good luck. :) |

I'll ask my natural Doc to test me for candida on Monday when I see him. Thank you all for this support. I am copying and pasting this into my 2013 journal to re-read and ponder. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 13369096 Canada 01/01/2013 01:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Destructive behavior...? Everytime you go to shovel somthing fattening into your mouth just think about everybody that didn't get their unemployment checks today or their disability checks today. There all going to be worried about how to put meat and potatoes on the table and feed the kids while you sit there being your fat self trying not to eat chocolate or cookies or Ice cream. Give me a break. Your weak and killing yourself with food. |
scorpio66 User ID: 2453057 United States 01/01/2013 01:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | well, the easy answer is... don't buy the foods you don't want to eat someone mentioned the almond chocolate milk and it is really yummy if you need a choc fix plus i think it is higher in calcium and protein than reg milk and has a lot of antioxidants. kinda thick and filling too so that's another plus. i like the Silk brand Dark Chocolate Almond flavor. |
